Two thirds of Brits say Blair must be tried for war crimes

Freedom Post

Two-thirds of the British public agree with the BNP that Tony Blair should be put on trial for war crimes according to the latest YouGov poll.

During his second term as Prime Minister, it’s widely asserted that Blair knowingly misled Parliament in order to mount an invasion of Iraq in coalition with the United States.

With the aid of his notorious ‘dodgy dossier’ and infamous ‘weapons of mass destruction’ mantra, Mr Blair and his aides engaged in a campaign of lies and deceit to convince Parliament of outlandish claims that Iraq posed a military threat to Britain.

The poll comes hot on the heels of Monday’s ruling by the High Court not to proceed with bringing a private prosecution against the ex-PM by the former chief-of-staff of the Iraqi army.

General Abdul Wahed Shannan Al Rabbat has asserted that Blair committed a “crime of aggression” by invading Iraq in 2003 to overthrow Saddam Hussain and bring about ‘regime change’.

Along with Tony Blair, the General was intent on prosecuting two other key ministers of Blair’s cabinet, the then foreign secretary Jack Straw and attorney general Lord Goldsmith.

Proclaiming that there was “no prospect” of the case succeeding, several bigwigs (High Court Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, the Lord Chief Justice, and Mr Justice Ouseley) dismissed the General’s application.

The invasion of Iraq prompted one of the biggest anti-war protests ever witnessed in Britain with more than a million people marching in London against the pre-emptive attack.

As a self-proclaimed and rabid globalist, Blair’s legacy is one of foreign interference and military conflict.

In his first six years in office, Blair ordered British troops into combat no less than five times, more than any other Prime Minister in British history.

These included Iraq in both 1998 and 2003, Kosovo in 1999, Sierra Leone in 2000 and Afghanistan in 2001.

The BNP has opposed every single war waged by the British Government since its formation in 1982.

The BNP have stated their intention to prosecute Tony Blair in the BNP Ten-Point Plan to Counter Islamist Terror:

4/ No more foreign wars – bring our Heroes home

The continual interference and meddling in Muslim nations has incited Islamist jihadis to indiscriminately target Westerners for death, despite the fact that we ordinary citizens NEVER backed these foreign invasions and many actively and vocally spoke out against them.

These wars, in the interest of Israeli geographical supremacy in the Middle East and US foreign domination, do not warrant a single drop of British blood.

The continual harassment, meddling, and funding of Islamist terror groups against the legitimate Syrian Government MUST stop!

Syria – until recently, home to the most ancient Christian community and a haven for different Muslim communities and Jews – was the only secular Muslim nation in the Middle East and a barrier holding back the tide of Middle Eastern and Third World hordes seeking benefits in Europe.

Put former Prime Minister Tony Blair on trial for war crimes and demonstrate to the world that we mean business and justice will be served!
