A decision by a charity to remove the image of Sir Winston Churchill and erase his first name from their title has been met with outrage.
The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust is now called the Churchill Fellowship after undertaking moves to ‘decolonise’ itself.
Following the widespread backlash, the charity appeared to made a U-turn replacing the photograph of the legendary British wartime leader on their website the next day.
It’s the latest attempt to ‘re-write’ and erase history by Leftwing activists to tarnish his reputation and even compare him to Hitler.
Stating boldly on its website, the Churchill Fellowship declared: “Racism is unacceptable.”
The statement is a response to Leftist accusations that Churchill harboured commonly held views of his time that today would be at odds with the rhetoric of their extremist ‘woke’ agenda.
Issued in a press statement, BNP Chairman Adam Walker said:
“This latest incident reminds me of criticism levelled a the British National Party decades ago after the political class and its media mouthpiece attempted to erase and smeared our national flag as something of which to be ashamed.
“As BNP spokesmen at the time stated, the BNP rescued our Union Flag from the gutter.
“It appears that the anti-British Establishment hasn’t learned its lesson.
“The ‘woke’ among its ranks remain hellbent on tearing down and defiling everything the British nation and the British people stand for along with our precious and unique heritage and identity.
“Judging the views and opinions of historical figures on shifting modern political sensibilities is idiotic and wrong – and completely in keeping with the far Left agenda of erasing history while pushing its racist Critical Race Theory programme aimed at defaming every single achievement of one racial group of people – White people.
“It’s totally unacceptable, and it’s ONLY the BNP that remains resolute in standing up for the British people in the face of political tyranny and racism – and we’ll never surrender!”
