Stoke by-election – huge success for the BNP

It’s election day in Stoke-on-Trent Central, a high-profile Parliamentary by-election triggered by the resignation of a Labour MP owing to his disillusionment with Jeremy Corbyn.

It’s great for the BNP because contesting these kinds of elections is vital to our party’s long-term, ongoing strategy.

At this stage in our electoral resurgence, the number of votes in any given election is secondary to our overall aim.

‘Out of sight, out of mind’ goes the old saying.

We were out of sight during the early stages of this long-term plan, focusing internally, building structural stability within the Party and reducing historical debt accrued by the previous chairman – so it’s no wonder our profile dropped during that period.

With those goals achieved, we’re now re-establishing our place as a household name in British politics.

We’re rebranding as a more professional and credible party without the rough edges of the past.

It’s crystal clear that each high-profile election that we contest is building on the achievements of the previous one.

While the BNP has constantly been polling high percentages at a local level, winning election after election, the fact that people vote tactically in parliamentary elections means that we cannot expect to replicate those impressive percentages at a parliamentary level – yet!

Rebuilding our relationship with the media and the electorate as part of our long-term strategy is more important than the number of votes secured in this election.

In contesting as many high-profile elections that we can, we force the mainstream media to report on the BNP, we’re able to reach hundreds of thousands of voters with the highest quality BNP literature and get back on the top table – and this election has proved that to be the case!

During the campaign period of this election, the BNP has reached tens of thousands of postal voters with direct mailshots, 54,000 voters in Stoke with leaflets delivered to their door by the Post Office, reached hundreds of thousands of people through online social networks and millions of people through the media attention generated.

Seasoned BNP candidate, , has shared a stage with all fellow candidates at the hustings – a huge leap forward from the dark days of the Left’s ‘no platform’ policy designed to suffocate their political opposition.

It’s ONLY because of the high-profile elections and the great results attained last year that we’ve been able to engage at this level this time.

The years of amateurism, where the BNP went into elections at all levels with unrealistic expectations and vast overspending leading to huge historical debts, are a thing of the past.

The BNP is fighting fit and fighting smart these days, carefully selecting the contests that we enter, researching our opposition, calculating the figures and training our candidates to deal effectively with the media and engage in the debate.

This comprehensive strategy was all laid out in my speech back in 2015 at the BNP Annual Conference, and unanimously supported by all in attendance.

It’s great that our members and supporters are more politically educated than those of other parties and it’s great to have the understanding and long-term support from our people as we dig in for the long haul.

Regardless of the results of this election, the BNP has already won!

Thanks to everyone who enabled us to make this campaign such a great success.

Onwards and upwards!

Best of British,

Adam Walker
