People Power set to free Marine A

The British National Party has campaigned tirelessly for the past 3 years to free one of our finest, Marine Alexander Blackman (commonly known as ‘Marine A’) who was convicted for ‘murder’ whilst in the theatre of war carrying out his duty.

BNP Chairman Adam Walker told us earlier today that as an Army Veteran he, along with all other members of the British Veterans’ Group, has stood shoulder to shoulder with veterans and passionate patriots, the length and breadth of the country, all campaigning tirelessly for justice for Marine A.

“All our British service personnel fight for us, the very least we can do is fight for them,” commented Mr Walker.

The BNP condemns the criminal case review commission (CCRC) report and its timing and it must be exposed for what it is.

The failings highlighted in the recently released report are as follows:

  1. The trial was mishandled by Britain’s senior Military Judge, Jeff Blackett, Judge Advocate General.
  2. Blackett is guilty of failure to apply the law properly.
  3. That the judge failed to advise the convicting board of the lesser charges that would have been more appropriate than that of murder.

Hero, Alexander Blackman has been abandoned by the British government who sent him to fight, kill or be killed for them. Instead of releasing him, they have sat idly by while he has suffered in jail for the past 3 years.

As the magnitude of this horrendous miscarriage of justice starts to become clear, it has emerged that even Mr Blackman’s defence team have been slammed for “deficiencies in the standard of the defence.”

The real key to understanding the motivation of the transparent u-turn in the treatment of this brave man is that last month he had already won himself an appeal to his conviction.

This apparent, and 3 years overdue, list of incredible legal failures finally coming to light are nothing more than a cynical and transparent scramble by the British government to try and claim the credit for the inevitable freeing of Marine A.

We must all keep up the pressure until Mr Blackman walks free.

The BNP is proud of all the various troops and the millions of people who have stood firm, and have never forgotten our brave marine in his time of need.

“Let me be clear,” British Army Veteran and BNP leader Adam Walker said today.

“This is a great day for all the campaigners of justice that have without doubt have forced our weak, pathetic and treacherous government into this transparent U-turn.

“We must always keep the pressure on and fight constantly for the rights of each and every member of our Armed Forces.

“We care deeply for our country, people and institutions that make Britain great. We will always fight for the justice denied to us by consecutive British governments.
