English patriotism rises in latest poll

English patriotism is on the march according to a recent YouGov poll.

19% of those who took part in the poll referred to themselves as English rather than British, a 5% increase on 2015.

The number of people describing themselves as feeling both British and English also rose from 35% to 38%.

The findings alarmed John Denham, the former Labour cabinet minister who initiated the poll.

“Voters who most strongly identify as English are much more likely to reject Labour as a party and key Labour messages like support for the EU,” he said.

“Without a change in Labour’s appeal, rising English identity may make attracting key groups of voters even harder.”

There was no sure surprise among the ranks of the patriotic BNP, Chairman Adam Walker made this statement:

“Of course the Establishment politicians are alarmed at this – they’ve been telling themselves that any featherless bi-ped who sets foot on British soil is British.

“Ordinary people don’t buy this Politically Correct nonsense.

“The idea that anyone can be British is denying the right of the British people to their own ethnic group – it’s genuine racism.

“Being English means belonging to a distinct ancestral and ethnic group, one that you can’t simply join because you’re given a passport by Theresa May.

“It’s only natural that people want to identify with their group, which is why we are seeing an increase in the people of our home nations taking pride in being Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English.

The latest findings are sure to attract opportunists and groups masquerading as ‘nationalist’.

The BNP is the original nationalist political party in Britain which fights for the rights of the people of our home nations to preserve, protect and celebrate our national traditions in our own way.
