The anti-democratic Lib Dems have pledged to scrap Brexit if they win power at the next general election.
Deluded members voted overwhelmingly for the anti-democratic policy at the Liberal Democrat party conference in Bournemouth.
The Lib Dem leader, Jo Swinson threatened: “We will… stop Brexit altogether.”
However, the pledge only comes into force if the party wins the election as a majority government.
Swinson also confirmed that before any general election, the Lib Dems would campaign for a second referendum to stop a no-deal Brexit.
The Lib Dem MP, Chuka Umunna — who is now in his third political party this year —supported the anti-democratic pledge. He added that Brexit was a ‘national embarrassment‘.
The EU Parliament’s Brexit co-ordinator Guy Verhofstadt was at the conference and gave a speech.
His disturbing and menacing speech was met with rapturous applause!
Earlier, Swinson appeared on the BBC’s Andrew Marr show and described the Lib Dems as the ‘Stop Brexit party’.
She went to say that if her party became the government, then “stopping Brexit is exactly what people will get”.
She also said that “Brexit is in a mess. There needs to be a way out of that.”
Lib Dems: Comment
So, Jo Swinson believes that Brexit is a mess and there needs to be a way out. However, she did not vote for the parliamentary motions to have an early general election.
If it’s true that the Lib Dems are the Stop Brexit party, then an early general election would have been equivalent to a second referendum.
Those who wanted to Remain in the EU would have voted Liberal Democrat.
Therefore, an early general election was a way out of this ‘mess’.
But the Lib Dems were too scared.
The Liberal Democrats should change their name. They are neither Liberal nor Democratic.
It is anti-democratic to ignore the result of the EU referendum – the biggest democratic mandate in British history.
It’s the Liberal Democrats who are a national embarrassment!
The BNP’s message is very clear: The democratic result of the EU referendum must be respected.
