Following a tantrum by the Chairman of Stoke City FC, the BNP’s David Furness returns to shed light on his objections.
David, the Parliamentary candidate for the BNP in the Stoke-on-Trent Central constituency, caused an online storm last week.
He made a short video outside the stadium last week.
Mr Furness returned to the club and reveals the reason why Stoke FC became so upset.
Stoke City FC issued an official statement on its website
“Stoke City is aware that the BNP candidate in next Thursday’s Stoke-on-Trent Central by-election, David Furness, recently posted online an election video filmed in a car park at the Bet365 Stadium.
“He did so without first seeking permission from the Club, which would have been refused in any case.
“The Club wishes to make it clear that it in no way supports his views or those of the BNP.”
As it happens, the Chairman of Stoke City FC is a huge donor to the anti-British Labour Party, which has a candidate in the Stoke-on-Trent Central election.
