Leaving Comments:

Registering with IntenseDebate will allow you to leave comments on our website. You will soon no longer be able to comment here unless you register with IntenseDebate.

Your comments will not appear instantly, they will be queued until such time as a moderator has manually approved (or rejected) them. If your comment is poorly written, badly spelt or too off topic, it will be rejected so please take your time and make the best contribution you can.

Once you have made a comment you have 15 minutes in which you can edit it. Simply click the “edit” link at the bottom right of your comment. The edit facility will not be available after the fifteen minute window, so try to get it right first time.

The registration Process:

At the bottom of the comments section there are a number of boxes. The only ones you need to fill are the user name and email address. The “blog” is optional and not required.

1. Select a username (any one will do). If it says it is not available - choose another. You can choose a “Display” name after you have registered.

2. Enter a real Email address - one you will receive confirmation to.

3. Click the “Sign up” checkbox.

4. Click the “Submit Comment” button.

5. You will receive an email confirmation and you need to click the link in that email to confirm your account.

That’s it, you’re done!

Configuring your IntenseDebate Account:

When you are logged in to your Intense Debate account and in the Dashboard. There are lots of clever things you can do.

The very first thing to do is go to “Edit Profile”. Towards the bottom of the right hand side, you will see two check boxes. One of which is “Email me whenever I have new followers“. All members can now choose to subscribe to (follow) every comment you make in order to spread your word even further than this website. They can do this by opting to “Follow” you.

BE WARNED: 

If you do not want to be notified by email when another member called “The BogeyMan” opts to follow you - click the box and save the settings. Failure to do this will result in an Email being sent to you stating that “The BogeyMan is following you!”.

So if you are of a nervous disposition or the paranoid type, make sure you opt out of this by following the very simple instructions above.

As for all the other clever stuff, I could write a book on it, but I have a website to run and build. So, the best advice I can offer is that you experiment, play, fiddle and muddle. You will pick it up really quickly. Just have patience and faith and you will contributing to the success and growth of our message and yours, in no time at all.
