Quite right. They fought in the last war securing our freedoms. But just look at how some of these pensioners are being treated today by Labours enriched non-indigenous society.

It is a sad state of affairs when Iceland has to bail out pensioners with warmt clothing. In contrast a BNP government would look after retired folk very well indeed.

I do not understand how prisoners and asylum seekers, under 'Human Rights' legislation, are legally entitled to better standards then pensioners who are paying tax on their savings to assist them?

reading about illegal immigrants getting handouts &homes paid for makes my blod boil. my mother has
had to go into care and has to fund her care costs. i read today margaret beckett now wants to take the
homes of people if they are not occupied and rent them out. labour and others want us to work hard for
as long as possible and when we are unable to care for ourselves, they want to rob us. all those who
gave their lives for this country in the wars past and present must be turning in their graves. time for a
change………VOTE BNP.

If a society is judged on the way it treats its old folk then Britain has totally failed. The "liberal metropolitan elite" do not give a stuff about pensioners (they'll even steal your pension) but will spend billions on wasteful trendy projects, trip over themselves to ally with low life, bogus asylum seekers, criminals and idle scroungers, because these are "politically correct" causes. Pensioners in a rich country like the UK should have a decent standard of living.
Only the BNP is really bothered about pensioners, the rest let's face it don't care a damn or they would have done something positive instead of talking about doing something.

I am sickened by the treatment of our senior citizens,they are treated as 2nd class citizens by this dozy government,remember that we have a lot to thank our elderly population for,yet asylumseekers/refugees and even illegal immigrants have a better standard of living than our OAPs-The Germans and the Japanese take great care of their elderly and they enjoy a very comfortable standard of living-it is said that we won the war,think carefully did we?

Unfortunatley i have to wait a year before i can vote for your party.

This is the best policy i have saw. Pensioners have paid lifetimes of taxes, they have fought for our country and for what ?

To live in cold houses, to be on lists waiting for council houses, to ask family for money and care. These people should be in mansions, with bank balances like footballers. They have done more for our generation than they did for their own. I have respect any pensioner i see in the street if they need anything i can possibly give i do.

The fact we give more to assylm seekers disgusts me, it is a total lack of respect and a national disgrace perfectly sums up the situation

the government is not giving pensioners money to help with fuel bills they are giving money to pensioners who have not worked and not saved and not put money into private pension schemes.I left school at 15 and i have worked all my life therefore i am not entitled to cold weather payments as my income is means tested.Thanks for nothng governments.

So the Government are giving Pensioners more money to help with their energy bills, not a bad thing. Unfortunately rather than forcing the energy companies to cap their bills to this group of people they are going to give them more money taken from hard earning tax payers to help maintain the energy companies' grotesque profits. Stealing from the poor to give to the rich perhaps?

well thats tony blair for you ,and the caring labour party ,how much proof do the old labour supporters need to convince them that the labour party as been hijacked by the new middle classes,just look who's given blair a 4 million a year job,thats after he's finished his 12 million a years tour doing after dinner speaches,he'll be sitting in his new 4million pound house ,fretting about the poor old folk who cant afford to keep warm.
