I would like to know if the BNP would do anything to provide a better education for children with special needs particularly moderate learning difficulties. Making them attend mainstream schools very often doesnt work, they can't cope, the teachers can't cope with the number of specific needs that they have to deal with now and the bureaucracy associated with children with special needs and the ridiculously lengthy processes you have to go through to get a decent education for them is unnecessary. They dont meet the criteria for special schools but mainstream education fails them. Many of the special schools have been closed so parents are faced with no other choice. I had to take my daughter out of school almost three years ago she was so far behind academically and being bullied constantly and the day I did she lost all the finance attached to her statement of special needs and support teachers and currently gets no help whatsover from the local authority or the government who basically said you are on your own and all this while M.P.s are raking in thousands in expenses, its not right.

The BNP would sweep away the political correctness that prevents teachers from dismissing unruly pupils from classrooms and head teachers from suspending them. Discipline would be restored to normality.

There are good universities in countries other than Britain that English parents still want their children to attend. Therefore, I should imagine the B.N.P would keep university funding the way it is. The deliberate dumbing down of our children has to stop.

If teachers are too busy trying to teach "reason", then they won't have enough time to teach the subjects that matter, like English, Mathematics, Physic's and History (our history).

Corporal Punishment is a good tool that should be used more often in schools, it didn't do me any harm, and I had my fair share of it.. ha ha.

Once upon a time, if you got in trouble with the police you got a clip round the ear from the officer in question, as soon as the officer took you home you got a clip round the ear from your father simply for bringing the police home, not for anything else you might have done !

It teaches you to respect teachers, your elders, other people and authority.

You don't need to teach children about the world in schools, children pick things up for themselves but it is ultimately the parents job.

I'm pretty sure that most parents don't want teachers putting ideas that they would not approve of in the heads of their children, especially politically correct ideas !

Corporate punishment.
Nothing too sinister, but a good slap never does anyone any harm. The liberals will say that it teaches violence is power and you should reason with children. A childs mind is different though.
Besides, most children want the teachers to take control. Power needs to be somewhere and as the teachers don't have the school gangs do.

Sorry that we, as your predecessors have failed you matthew.
It's appalling that they are brainwashing children into being a communist on taxpayers money.
Although Dave's advise is good in some ways - don't get in too much trouble by going head to head with your ignorant teachers.
Knucle down and do well in your GCSE's. Your country is going to need you very soon.

i agree we need more disipline, its discusting that children are treated like KINGS there are children and they need to be disiplined...i agree that subjects need to be more appropriate to day to day working life, however, it does worry that the BMP might take things to an extreme, e.g. no drama, art, dance or religious education at school...these subjects are still very important, children need to be educated about the world but without it being forced upon them, like islam is forced upon our country today...

What a sensible and enlightening policy that not all students will be able to study an academic degree. Some people are far more skilled with their minds than others, whilst some are skilled with their hands. I've also read articles recently that have stated our universities are full of people who can't even speak English correctly and the teachers are encouraged to 'overlook' errors in grammar etc. All this is amounting to a devalueing of a degree, and also leading to a skills shortage.
As for 'multiculturism' - it's hardly democratic since the majority of people DON'T WANT IT!!!! Especially since multiculturism means ignoring everything about British history and concentrating on other cultures. I don't want the children of this country to never learn our history. I don't want a koran taught to my children. I don't want white people to be scared to say their minds.
VOTE BNP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

It is a sad fact that we are losing our heritage, culture and history-in the schools where I live the children couldn't tell you of any British historical figures but they can tell you stories from the Middle East and to a certain extent events from any other religion bar their own-British taxes are being used to teach British children all about every other countrys history but their own and it is wrong-it is about time the British people showed a bit of backbone and stood up for their rights and the rights of their children because if they don't then our history is going to be forgotten and will disappear forever.

I want to know what the BNP's policy is on university funding for students, will grants be reintroduced or will a student loan system be kept.
And regarding jj58's comment, yes some do, but I studied physics so was only taught hard facts, but the 'social sciences' such as primary education, social studies, politics etc... did spout a load of nads.

this is what our country has become, that should not have happened, if i were you i'd go to the head and tell them they were denying you freedom of speech and ignoring the facts, the same kind of thing happened to my brother in a "citizenship" lesson, they wouldn't listen to what he had to say and told him to get out of the classroom.

I am my last year of school in Stoke on Trent and I have experienced first hand what has happened to the education system of this country. the new Citizenship lessons are there to teach that we should all embrace multiculturalism and that it is a good thing, one shocking thing in the Citizenship textbook is a picture of the BNP logo and below it is a sentence saying "Some political parties such as the BNP are extremely racist". It goes on to say other things without any proof at all. During Citizenship we were discussing the governments immigration plicy and I said that there should be an immediate halt to all immigration and guess what, my teacher held me back at the end of class and accused me of being racist and to watch my mouth! This is a pretty sorry state of affairs and I hope the BNP can rescue us from this Labour quagmire.
