North East BNP Hard at Work on Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve
British National Party activists in the North East of England did not take any time off over the festive period and engaged in leaflet distributions on Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve, our correspondents report.
South Tyneside BNP activists had a team of leaflet distributors out all morning on Boxing Day in the Jarrow ward of Primrose, reported fund holder Martin Vaughan.
“It was fantastic dedication and shows what type of people we have in our party,” Mr Vaughan said. “I don’t think any other party would be capable of such an effort.”
Meanwhile, members of the equally intrepid North Durham BNP Constituency Group braved the heavy snow fall on New Year’s Eve to drop 800 leaflets through letterboxes in Stanley, County Durham.
Group organiser, Roland Craggs (pictured), said “When it snows in Stanley it really snows, but we wanted to say goodbye to 2009 by letting the constituents know that no matter the weather or time of year, we will be there for them.”
* It paid off for North Durham BNP as on their return from leafleting they had received enquiries for information packs.
