Merseyside BNP Builds on Past Achievements
The growing presence of a dynamic Merseyside British National Party group laid the basis for the party’s North West Euro regional breakthrough and is hard at work building on that achievement, reports regional organiser Clive Jefferson.
“Merseyside BNP are a very active group and fielded an impressive 15 activists last Monday morning for a day’s canvassing in the Fazakerley ward of Liverpool City Council,” Mr Jefferson told BNP News.
“We are contesting a by-election there on 18 February which will be the first time that a full canvass of the ward has been attempted in Liverpool. The day showed that the activists are all naturals at talking to the electorate on the doorstep,” he said.
“Experienced North West officials will be helping out on election day. It will be a textbook election day campaign which will include polling tellers, ‘don’t forget to vote’ leafleting to identified supporters, and the whipping in of our vote will be carried out,” Mr Jefferson continued.
“The day’s work constituted another important lesson which was quickly absorbed by our people and the region’s electoral development has taken yet another large step forward.
“Merseyside was once the BNP’s weakest area in the North West. The hard-working team have however changed all of that and have generated a solid vote in Liverpool,” Mr Jefferson concluded.
