The Destruction of Britain: New Report Reveals Economic Collapse

December 8, 2009 - By BNP News

destructionA new report by the internationally respected Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) has revealed that Britain’s decline after decades of Labour and Tory rule will see it drop out of the world’s top ten economies by 2015 — just five years away.

According to the report, Britain was ranked the fourth most powerful economy in 2005. This year, it has already slipped to seventh place, and is set to plummet even further over the next five years.

This will make Britain a smaller economic player than Russia (still struggling to overcome 70 years of hard-line Communist destruction), Brazil (which is regarded as largely Second World) and India (which has received £1.8 billion of British foreign aid over the past eight years. Both Tories and Labour have pledged to increase foreign aid to that country over the next ten years).

The report author and chief executive of the CEBR, Mr Douglas McWilliams, said that the Australian economy will overtake Britain’s by 2020.

The CEBR report goes on to state that the “area where this will be most noticeable will be on the diplomatic front. It will be difficult to maintain the UK’s current high diplomatic profile when we are no longer in the world’s top ten. Can we maintain a permanent seat on the UN Security Council?

“Among other things, it means that whether we like it or not, we are going to have to be prepared to put up with economic, political and social decisions that are made internationally — not only in other countries but quite likely in countries which have very different approaches to, for example, human rights.”

In other words, the destruction of Britain’s economy will reduce this nation to a peripheral player on the world’s stage.

While the Labour Party’s mad rush to bail out Britain’s negligent banks has played a major role in putting the knife into the British economy, the real cause of Britain’s decline is actually the fault of the Tories.

It was under the Conservative Party that Britain’s manufacturing base was gutted under the guise of “globalisation” which caused the export of jobs and industries to the Far East.

This was made worse by the state’s refusal to come to the aid of the few British industries which survived the first wave of globalisation.

Long-established British companies were unable to compete with the globalised Far East and were either forced to close or were bought up for a song by foreign companies. In many cases, entire manufacturing facilities were shipped lock, stock and barrel to China.

The Tories falsely believed — and still do — that the British economy could survive by providing services and hosting financial institutions. The reality is that any strong economy needs a manufacturing sector upon which to fasten and measure its growth.

Finally, the Tory party was also responsible for the closure of 150 mines in Britain which made this country reliant on imported replacements.

The road to ruin was laid decades ago and the Tories and Labour alike bear equal responsibility for the destruction of this once Great Britain.
