South East General Election Fundraising Rally Raises £7,150
The South East region’s General Election campaign got off to a spectacular start when £7,150 was raised at a fundraising rally held in the BNP stronghold of Swanley in Kent.
South East Regional Organiser Andy McBride chaired the rally and opened the meeting by introducing Chairman Nick Griffin. Mr Griffin then outlined the diabolical establishment schemes to dismantle Britain as an independent nation state. Towards the end of his speech, Mr Griffin held a memorial silence for Britain’s war dead by playing the Remembrance Day tune, Elgar’s Nimrod.
At the end of his talk, Chairman Nick Griffin held a “sponsor a candidate” session, where those present could put up the deposit for a candidate of their choosing. This was highly successful and raised approximately £3,000 towards deposits for the region’s election campaign.
After a collection and short break, Mr McBride introduced local BNP councillor Paul Golding who gave a short talk on the momentous breakthrough his election signified. He also briefly outlined the life of the South East’s only elected BNP councillor. After Mr Golding’s talk, those present rose and sang the patriotic anthem Jerusalem.
The meeting raised a grand total of £7,150 towards the South East’s campaign — a gigantic figure that was made possible by utilising some unique and novel fundraising methods from the BNP’s fundraising department.
