North West Regional Christmas Function Raises £600 for Area Funds
A highly successful North West regional year end function turned into a surprise mini-fundraiser when an auction of a Celtic design mirror raised £600 for the area’s funds.
There are now over 100 party officials in the expanded North West region working for the BNP and as a result last Monday saw a sold-out executive Christmas dinner with guest of honour North West MEP and party Chairman Nick Griffin.
“There was a lot to celebrate this year, not least the historic breakthroughs into the European Parliament and Lancashire County Council,” said North West regional organiser Clive Jefferson.
“As the region gathers its strength for the coming election season, we celebrated the unsung heroes of our movement, namely the supportive partners of our key officials,” he said.
Jackie Griffin and the wives of several other key officials were presented with flowers and the evening was dedicated to the partners and families of all the key activists.
“The party would be unable to function without them,” Mr Jefferson said. “Bring on 2010, the North West is ready.”
