Since when was 'building minarets' a basic human right!!!! These politicians could win awards for Orwellian 'newspeak'. It seems that everything to do with enforcing invasion and genocide is a human right, but opposing it is 'evil'. Basic human rights are just that. They do not include the right to invade, commit genocide or oppress others. Human rights are fist and foremost about survival, and survival takes priority over all other rights. The survival of the Swiss people takes priority over the 'feelings' of Muslim fundamentalists. I don't remember seeing Ray Mears doing any programme on survival where the first lesson was….."Here we are starving and near to death in the arctic/jungle/desert….and now let's build a minaret"… Socialists murdered millions in Russian,China, North Korea, Tibet, Cambodia etc…. I don't think any of those dying people were thinking "Oooohhhh…. If only we had a minaret…." Minarets lovers similarly have murdered millions over the years in Jihads. So the real first rule of human rights is…GET RID OF THE SOCIALISTS AND MINARETS….

The EU and ECHR have no power over a nation-state unless their leaders allow them to have power.
The Swiss have re-established themselves as the neutral, sovereign nation of Europe once again. We'd do well to follow in their example!

Turkey's own human rights record is not exactly a shining beacon to all. At least Switzerland is following a democratic process. It must be constantly remembered that Islam and it's adherents do not believe in democracy. That is enshrined in them. Does anyone, even the most woolly minded liberal think that a world Caliphate, which is what the Muslims want is a democratic organisation? Is Iran democratic? Saudi Arabia, Libya etc etc.? Is there no corruption in Afghanistan or Iraq? These are all muslim countries, and want their rule extending.

Ms Pillay is predictably concerned, but obviously not for the human rights of the indigenous Swiss. The sooner Italy follows suit the better. Britain will not, at least not under the existing establishment. Now we sit back and wait for the demonstrations to begin.
