Chairman Nick Griffin Holds Demonstration Against Brown’s Illegal War

British National Party leader Nick Griffin MEP today held a demonstration outside the House of Parliament highlighting the need to end the illegal war in Afghanistan with immediate effect.
Standing behind posters calling for all British troops to come home and describing the leaders of the three Westminster parties as “men of blood,” Mr Griffin read out the names of each British serviceman and woman who had died from all causes in the conflict.
The list of well over 200 names took more than ten minutes to read out. Afterwards, Mr Griffin was asked by the media why he had chosen today to make the demonstration.
“This is the time when the 100th British soldier has died in that war,” Mr Griffin said. “Several days ago, Gordon Brown announced that he will be sending an additional 500 British soldiers to shore up the campaign there.
“Tory leader David Cameron has announced that he will not ‘cut and run’ which can only mean that he does not care how many British soldiers die in that war.
“The BNP is the only party that demands an end to the illegal war in Afghanistan. No ifs, no buts, we want our boys and girls home now,” Mr Griffin told the assembled journalists.
