The CWU will contrive strikes and disruption during the general election campaign as a smokescreen from behind which British National Party outgoing election leaflets and incoming leads and donations will disappear or be delayed for months. You can bet on it.

A well considered comment as usual. The tragedy is that what you call conspiracy-style theories are most prpbably not theories at all; just fact. In an effort to explain why so much immigration was necessary many advanced the 'theory' that it was deliberate policy.

Seen it all before, need we expect anything less. We should be taking all of our utilities into state control, not communism but common sense. Let the speculators gamble on other prospects but keep them out of the lifeblood of the country. They cannot go wrong on a guaranteed income at the general publics expense.

I enjoyed living and working in Germany in the past, and hold their people and their industry in high regard - except for Deutsche Post which contrary to misconceptions is bungling, inefficient and expensive.
Two years ago it cost 55 eurocents to post a letter in Germany. That compares to our 39p for a first class letter here. No option of second class there at 30p.

The point is that our Post Office is a world-class organisation that is being cut to the bone by management who are hell bent on squeezing ever more profit out of it. They do this in any way such as ever higher workloads or closing our 'unprofitable' town and rural post offices, when the British Post Office was set up to be a PUBLIC SERVICE in the first place.
I am normally against strikes, but I do sympathise with the PO workers this time.

This slimy government with Mandy as its spokesman is behind all this betrayal of course.

Donna

Anyone can see for themselves that the volume of mail, far from decreasing, has risen tenfold. Counting all the junk mail delivered by Royal Mail plus all the packages delivered from on-line shopping - many going through Royal Mail - only an idiot would believe that mail volumes had decreased. But managers (shown how by the politicians) can make the figures say just what they want them to say - and as decreasing volumes are what the managers want to show, they will measure the mail however they want, to 'prove' their point. The great shame is that the politicians, like Mandelson, under orders from the EU, wish to destroy the Royal Mail as we know it, to turn it into a 'profitable' enterprise so that it can be sold to the highest bidder - then they can charge us whatever they want to charge.

If you want to pay 95p to post a letter this is the way to go.Adam Crozier is another Scot, to head up British business, if you look carefully at all our large companies you will find that Scots occupy all the senior positions. How strange is that ?No, its not co-incidence all Government appointments. We must back the Royal Mail and hope we can throw out these people as soon as we get the chance.Vote BNP, only they can do it and get our Country back.

Caradoc (above) suggests Nu-Labour appointed Adam Crozier to sack staff so the 'Communications Union' (who part-fund Nu-Labour) go on a damaging strike leading to a 'fire sale' to friends of Nu-Labour.

We have to take these conspiracy-style theories seriously, I think. After all, it's now become clear that the EU was entirely planned in secret from the 1970s (or earlier?) and all the old parties colluded. And immigration was planned in about 2000 - and I think there must have been collusion there, since thousands of local councillors knew about the 'Joint Tanancy' system to house and subsidise illegal immigrants at taxpayers' expense, in front of Englishmen and women; and the councillors kept quiet for years. The miners' strike, with McGregor the equivalent of Crozier, was a bit of a disaster; could that have been deliberate? After all, these enormous unions all gave money to 'Labour'. I can't help feeling that the strikes must have been orchestrated. And also that the 'infiltration' of unions by 'Communists' who (like Straw) supported mass murderer Stalin was not quite as worm-like and devious as is suggested: very likely it was deliberate, with rent-a-thugs keeping out union members who wanted democracy. Remember that Spectator article about Pavel Stroilov's and Chernyaev's diaries (7 Nov 2009) - The decision to give Gordon Brown his first and only safe seat, Dunfermline East, was made by two T&G officials: Hugh Wyper, the regional boss and a Communist Party member, and Alec Kitson. This is not exceptional. Neil Kinnock, Tony Blair, Margaret Beckett, Harriet Harman, John Reid — to name just a few — were all T&G people who made their Labour party careers thanks to the union’s backing. And at that time, of course, T&G political backing was within the gift of Alec Kitson.

Maybe some researcher could spend a week or two (or longer) looking at the history of strikes, and their outcomes. There may be some surprising revisionist conclusions awaiting.

It's all about money now, everything has a Price, in the New World Order people serve the Corporations rather than the other way round, this is Fascism as defined by Mussolini, and he should Know.
The people behind all this have no humanity in them.......all that matters to them is money, wealth power, this is not ambition i the sense that you or I might imagine it, the people at the very top of the Pyramid are seriously sick, deranged individuals.
People think it's Greed, or Incompetence, Stupidity....no, really, to truly understand the mindset of these people you have to consider what it is to consider humanity as nothing more than cattle, their own personal ant farm.
Take adverse drug interactions that we hear about, most people think it is corporate greed, or even errors ( which do occur of course ) no no no.......this is al planned, orchestrated, it is by design that drugs cause such problems as we experience.....Going back to the Post Office sell off, these people have no concept of 'society; they want this thing for gain, money and power, once they have taken it over they will do like they have in every other industry....push up prices until the public cry out, back off a little bit, then that is how much can be screwed out of the Public, this is how they work......drive up Prices, taxes until the people start to say No en masse, then that becomes the price for the product or service.

Don't think all those problems with drugs, medecines are down to 'accidents' it is a simple formula, what percentage of adverse reactions, deaths, and induced illness creates the most profit, without alerting the public too much as to what is going on.

This is the reality of what is going on. We are being Pharmed.

As a postal worker I can say you are absolutely spot on. Just yesterday my manager told me that all royal mail want is part time mothers to take the mail out after dropping the kids off to school. Well done for telling it like it is, something the media havent managed to do yet.

Big business wants to cream off the profitable bits, they have been plotting this for years. Personally, have always been quite pleased with the RM, but over the last few years with sacks of mail going missing and stories of posties going through the mail for credit cards (Africans I believe) you really do wonder what is occurring. Depressing isn't it.

The usual pre-privatisation tactic is to get the complicit media to talk something down, then when everybody believes the service truly is rubbish sell it off cheap so your rich mates can get richer still. Afterwards, service doesn't get any better, prices soar and all the profits (and jobs) go mostly to foreigners. Does anyone recall how the media slated nationalised rail, water and energy suppliers before they were sold off? They've given the Royal Mail a similar hammering for the past couple of years, building a public appetite for selling it. As for all this talk of letters in decline etc., I get more letters now than I ever used to five and more years ago, but most of it is from UKMail and the like. Such an important national asset should be renationalised in its entirity immediately.
