Yes indeed. They knew it would collapse of their own knowledge and there were also a number of people, in and outside the industry who were giving out warnings. They must be controlled because they cannot be trusted. Only last week there was a news item re the emerging market in buying/selling carbon offsets. They are being bundled and sold on exactly as were sub-prime mortgages. There may be no blood or broken bones but these people have hurt many individuals as surely as if they had physically battered them. It takes a considerable degree of callousness and selfishness to inflict such terrible
damage and shrug it off. What they have done is criminal and they should be punished as such

Two news items heard in the week just gone. All the bailout money and accrued debt works out at an individual debt of £24,000.00 for every men and women in the UK. A market in the buying/selling of carbon offset is already under way. Operating exactly the same way as did the bundling of good/bad debt in the sub prime housing. Rage, anger and disbelief are my feelings, and the firm conviction that without the governance of the BNP, this little island will be finished in less than 20 years. Slowly but surely the main parties and the EU are killing us.

I would recommend all visitors to this site to access the film "money as debt" (just google it). This explains how the banks invent money to lend to people and why they came crashing down. Also recommended is " the mississippi scheme" 1719 to 1720. This is very similar to what has happened to the banks now (will they never learn?). The govt should never have bailed out the banks at all. However, have u wondered how they got the billions to do it? They invented them! If you can't pay your £10000 credit card the company will eventually say " give us £5000 and we will call it quits". What happened to the other £5000? It never existed.
And don't start me on quantitave easing. The banking system will fail again very soon and they will ask the tax payer to pay again. That is until someone has the guts to sort it out once and for all.

The whole system is a shambles yet we have our government time after time prop up the banks.for the vast majority of our people the recession has had no bearing whatsoever as they already live below the poverty line.go to any working class area where people have virtually nothing ,ask them how much money the banks has lent them and they will say nothing. yet these are the people the government has left high and dry .It time the labour party and the profiteers was left high and dry by the people who brought them to office

Hi Simon,
I noticed when I clicked to the link http://forum.bnp.org.uk/ and came back to this section the link had disappeared until I rolled my mouse over where it had been; it was then only visible if my mouse rolled over it. I've notice the same thing happening with other links post here.
I'm using Window7, IE8 and Firefox 3.5 hope this is helpful.

The new website looks great, good colour scheme and much faster to load.

This Labour government seems to think it can spend OUR money on whatever hair brained scheme it likes without asking US if we mind! If you ask me these greedy, fat cat banksters and their failed banks should be abandoned and allowed to go bust as they are no different to Woolworths as a business, yet the government did nothing to save that traditional British store. it just goes to show that this government is well in bed with big business using our money to finance it all. A lib/lab/con government would give us these choices:
NO say on how our money is spent.
NO say on where our troops are sent.
NO say on immigration.
NO say on anything at all.

Media reports that our Country is around £1.5 trillion in debt. These banks and the useless FSA have rob bed us of our furture economic freedom. We now pay more in interest payments than what we spend on education or defence. Now the Government is printing money (counterfitting) to cover the £200 billion defecit that the wise and wonderful elite that are ruining this Country say we need to pay for puplic spending. The Quango state costs £175 billion a year, Europe another £50 billion, I know where I'd start with cut backs. We pay £170 billion in state benefits, we need a welfare state. What we don't need is a feed the world state. Priorities are whats needed and the priorities are the British people. Labour does not represents us,they represent an ideoligy. An ideoligy that has failed. The Conservatives represent the economy, the prestige of a big economy. I want a Government that represents the people. What about you!

I myself am a Banker in The City but I agree fully with the BNP stance that reckless banks/bankers should be fully held to account for their actions that have hurt our citizens and economy so badly.
Not just because my bank is fully solvent and never had a penny from the government unlike the huge ones that hit the headlines – it is that these people as professionals have a Duty Of Care to their investors (you and I) not to screw up, and not to undermine our countrie's economic wellbeing and reputation that has until recent times been earned so carefully.
Don't blame it on the hard-working rank and file majority of the financial world either. The criminals to blame are the greedy Investors/Traders and senior management who should have and did know that it would all crash like a pack of cards and who then ran with their ill-gotten gains when the headlines started last years.
Put them on trial and soon.
