Scotsman article on this by-election, with over 743 email comments. Many of them appear to be from local people. Virtually none of them show a level of information above mass media generalisations. Not one mentions policy, or what might be done, now that more than 70 years of 'Labour' has left the area a large slum. Depressing. Exit polls suggest liebour will win; but maybe it's just spin.

The same thing is happening here in Ireland with citizen ship shoppers, welfare tourists and asylum swindlers, they are trying to colonise our country. In Sligo a well know asylum cheat is about to loose an extremely high profile case were she faked the existence of a child she claimed to be her own even the Nigerian embassy staff have been to Dublin to state she is lying. Incredibly some loony left racists think we Irish need our genepool enhanced by dross like this. Only the BNP can save Britain and Ireland as your party grows in the UK so to does the hostility to the gatecrashing migrants and swindlers- watch out for the breaking news on that case in Sligo and the best of luck in Glasgow today.

Whatever the outcome the first step has been taken just by being there. Remember it wasn't that many years ago when all the pundits and msm were saying the BNP will never get even a councillor elected. Then they did and all the pundits and msm said it was just a protest and wouldn't happen again. Then it did. I could not agree more MaidofKent. That edition of Question Time was nothing but a farce, Nick was interupted on almost every statement he made from what I could see. It helped convince my family though that BNP is the only party to have Britain and its interests at its heart.

Don't knock an independent Scotland. We may need an independent Scotland as a last refuge for the British people if current trends continue and the Muslims take over the rest of the country. If that happens, I can see Scotland and Wales breaking away to escape from an Islamified Londonistan. The remaining indigenous people in England could then flee there too. Scotland has one third of the land mass of the UK, so a lot of us could fit in there if needed. It may become our last redoubt.

Completely alien concept of democracy. Exactly. The USSR was described as 'socialist', 'democratic', a 'republic', 'egalitarian' and so on – deliberate lies promoted by corrupt propagandists. They are the same type as that audience. Civilised debate and consideration and reply to the opposition is what Parliament was supposed to be about. The BBC's idea of democracy has always been to promote the official line, possibly with a little token trivial opposition. Maybe it isn't a coincidence that the BBC dates from the time when the USSR's dictatorship was firmly entrenched.
