Busy Week for Salford BNP
It has been a busy week for the Salford British National Party branch, reports Gary Tumulty, branch membership secretary.
“The week’s activity started with a poster campaign on the main routes into Salford,” Mr Tumulty said.
“Then we had a tremendous meeting on Tuesday with a great turnout. Lots of new information was shared between valued members and a collection of several hundred pounds was taken,” he said.
The meeting was followed up with an outreach stall in the town centre.
“We had our stall set up on the Salford Precinct and once again we were quickly overwhelmed with support from passersby,” Mr Tumulty continued.
“We had no less than fifteen people express interest in joining once the membership freeze is over.”
The activists also gave out hundreds of leaflets and over 140 Voice of Freedom newspapers within an hour of setting up the stall.
“We were honoured with a visit from Manchester super activist Derek Adams,” Mr Tumulty said. “He brought his famous pig skip truck which drew cheers from the public.”
There is no rest for Salford BNP activists. They are now preparing leafleting teams to target key wards where support is already strong, he concluded.
