BNP Delegates Visit FEBA

feba-visitBy Pete Molloy — A delegation of British National Party members recently visited the FEBA (Forward Edge of Battle Area) Veterans Association, which helps HM Forces veterans in Hamilton near Glasgow.

BNP activists Adam Walker, Mark Walker and Pete Molloy are all military veterans and have a personal insight into the issues surrounding reintegration into civilian life.

They were greeted by FEBA organiser, Mr Tommy Moffatt, who gave them a guided tour of the facilities.

They were very impressed with the premises, which boast a café, gym, office and shop. The facility, which is run as a charity, has only been fully operational for a few months and has already helped many former servicemen and women who have fallen on hard times once their service to their country officially ended.

While they were there, the delegates met a young ex soldier, Steven Smith (23), and his pregnant wife, who are currently homeless. They had contacted their local council for housing, but had been turned away.

With nowhere else to turn, they contacted FEBA who offered them much needed help at a very difficult time. Mr and Mrs Smith were at FEBA to collect a brand new pram from the association.

Mr Moffatt said, ”This is one of the many services we provide for veterans when they are in need.”

Mark Walker (Ex RAF) was extremely impressed with FEBA and the friendly ethos which prevails there. “You can see that Mr Moffatt has put his heart and soul into this over recent years. His dedication and commitment are obvious.

“It still really annoys me that our veterans need to rely on charity at all. They are national heroes and should be treated as such especially when they make the often difficult transition back into civilian life. FEBA is a shining example of what true passion can achieve.”

* The delegates also brought several bags of clothing as a donation to FEBA.

More information on FEBA and the wonderful work they do can be obtained by emailing feba3031 @ yahoo.co.uk or by calling 07910058106.

* Mr Moffatt wishes to place it on record once again that neither he nor FEBA are politically motivated and will accept aid from any source.
