Of course the price is jacked up when it comes to the government paying for these services.
Its just like when you smash your car and you tell them you are insured – up goes the price!!
Our Marxist councils here in Australia even have to translate the message on top of the garbage bin, the one telling you which way to face it to the curb for collection!!
They need to learn how to speak English or sod off!!

Most of these immigrants hate us, they hate our culture and almost everything about our country. Why have they come here? My advice to them is to clear off back to the jungles and caves where most of them have originated from and take this country's traitors, do gooders and pc brigade with them.

Look North tonight (Thurs) said something about Goole having a special group to help Portuguese and Brazillians with translation and advice on rights or benefits (no one has ever explained to me my rights or benefits/entitlements, nor my parents, still not figured it out, maybe I'm just stupid). Seems it is paid for by a special immigration tax, paid by immigrants on arrival, so it is paid for by central government.
This is the first time I have ever heard about such a tax, does anyone else know anything about it. Also why does somewhere like Goole still need immigrants in the current economic climate – lots of unemployed?

samba, It would be good to have the thermometer back on the site, it definately prompted me to make regular donations during the build up to the Euro Elections. I also agree that we should target the most likely seats. I just hope that Burnley will be one of them.

I had an occasion a year or so back to go to one of the immigration appeal courts near heathrow, a chinese female illegal was claiming asylum here, stating that she was scared to return to China for fear of the triad gang who had allegedly smuggled her here! I couldnt believe the number of people involved in the appeal, a Judge, his notetaker, a civil servant from the home office, a chines translater for the home office, a solicitor for the woman, a barrister for the woman, ANOTHER interpreter for the woman, ALL being paid for by OUR taxes! ( You know what it costs to have a solicitor & double + for a barrister)! This was just one case in literally dozens that day, all of which costs us literally tens of thousands per case. There are another 4 or 5 appeal courts up & down the land where this is happening daily, it has spawned a huge industry for the "human rights & immigration" legal profession & the accompanying translators, where these people ( many are ethnic) are making an absolute fortune out of the FREE legal aid we give to them !

Thats why children are coming out of school so poorly educated. How on earth can children be taught in a class with about 17 different languages as has been chronicled. Anyone entering this country & unable to speak the language should be charged accordingly for translation services.
If they cannot pay their embassies should meet the cost.
Failing that they should return to where they came from.

All of you will be aware that there have been several occassions when we natives have been castigated for not learning other languages. The argument forwarded being that we need to trade with other countries, and should make an effort to speak the languages. Also we need languages if we want to work in Europe. Fair enough, but why then is it no problem to have huge numbers of people in this country unable to speak the
language? Some have been here for years yet still they have almost no english. Is it any wonder that people are angry when we can do no right, and immigrants can do no wrong.
