I've dabbled in politics for a long time. The trouble is, when it comes to general elections, people tend to vote for what they've always voted for no matter how bad that particular party is.

It is that mentality that needs to be overcome. I just hope more scandals break before the next election that really anger people and get them to really think where they want to put their X.

I so agree SpitFire, but I must also add my views. I am sick to the stomach with the greedy privileged MP's that continue to run this Country and continue to rob the lower classes of their money. I do not vote and never have done for any of these greedy MP's, who it seems to the masses are only bothered about getting well paid jobs so they can live like royalty. They are, I fear the biggest criminals this country has. And it is about time someone put a stop to it.
If I was the PM the first thing I would do is half their wages, mine too as I don't think these outrageous amounts should be paid for these jobs. I was told when I was a child by my Granddad the only PM to do this was Winston Churchill. And for claiming expenses, well that needs to be nipped in the bud now….NO MORE, they earn enough without stealing any more that could be put to better use, like the NHS and our education system.
Enough is Enough I say.

Thanks for that, I did not know it had been cancelled. It always amazes me what ministers don't know, like how much they spend on expenses, how many houses they have, where they live and for how long. I think the first prerequisite to be a minister is to be an absent-minded idiot who cannot control his/her department. I would apply to be a minister but I think I would be rejected on the grounds of competency (as would any of our members).

It's been cancelled by our glorious Minister for Justice amazingly. Ministers claimed that they did not know anything about the plan until recently as it was cooked up by Civil Servants (A likely story).

If you claim just one euro you have to give it back and your file is marked. But MPs can claim thousands of pounds of our money with impunity and show no remorse and fight against paying anything back. All 3 major parties are involved, time for another party to step in and have a chance to form a government we can respect.
