Objections to BNP BBC Radio Programme are “Third-Rate Marxist Claptrap”

October 11, 2009 - By BNP News

Mark-Collet-Joey-SmithOnly a bunch of Communist cranks could find anything objectionable in the comments made by two British National Party members in a recent BBC radio show. The so-called complaints are merely the work of third-rate Marxist extremists spouting claptrap.

Reacting to today’s hysterical and lie-filled media newspaper reports about the show, which aired on 30 September, Mr Mark Collett, one of the two people who appeared on the show, said that a transcript clearly revealed there were no insults against any person, least of all footballer Ashley Cole.

“All that was said was that Mr Cole is civically British, in that he has a British passport and enjoys all the rights and privileges that entails,” Mr Collett, who is editor of the Voice of Freedom newspaper told BNP News.

“Mr Cole is not, however, ethnically British. That is a given fact. Just because someone may be born in a country does not make them a member of the dominant ethnic group in that country,” he said.

“For example, Joanna Lumley was born in India, but no one in their right mind would call her an Indian. Cliff Richard was born in India, and no one says he is an Indian either.

“Spike Milligan was also born in India, but even the British government defined him as Irish because his parents came from Eire,” Mr Collett continued.

“So what is wrong in saying that a person of a certain ethnic heritage is not a member of another ethnic group? Nothing at all, and only a halfwit would dare suggest otherwise. In fact to say that is nothing but third-rate Marxist claptrap.”

Mr Collett pointed out that when people talked about “ethnic Chinese” people, they did not mean black Africans or white Europeans.

“It seems to me that the only people who the media has decided are not entitled to their own ethnic definition are white people and British people in particular,” Mr Collett said.

“Mr Cole is not ethnically British. British ethnicity has a specific identity, and to deny that identity is to deny that group a right to existence,” he said. “This is, as BNP chairman Nick Griffin has already said, nothing short of bloodless genocide.”

Mr Joey Smith, the other BNP person quoted, dismissed the newspaper stories as a “shameful pack of lies.”

“They could not even get the basic facts right,” Mr Smith said. “Firstly, I am not a shop-worker as they allege. Their far leftist extremist sources are, as usual, hopelessly incorrect. It is a joke how much under-researched and ill-informed drivel they have put into it.

“Secondly, the lyrics they quote are from the song ‘What happened,’ not from ‘Better Times’ as they claim.

“Thirdly, they claim I am a senior official in the BNP hierarchy. That is nonsense. I hold no office in the party at all. I wish people would tell me when I get promoted,” he said with a laugh.

“Fourthly, they have tried to make out that I said that Mr Cole was not born in Britain. The transcript clearly shows that I was talking about immigrants in general ‘who come here’ and not Mr Cole in particular.”

Mr Smith said the fact that the newspapers and their far leftist sources had only decided to make a fuss about the show a full 12 days after it had been broadcast, showed their bad faith in the matter.

“This is how the far left works. They feed nonsense to their allies in the newspapers, who reprint it without bothering to check any of the facts. Then those same leftists with whom the story originated can now quote ‘newspaper articles’ to use in attacks against the BNP.

“Fortunately, increasingly large numbers of people are seeing through these lies and distortions. This is why the BNP is growing, despite their efforts.”

Other CDs stocked by Great White Records include the fantastically successful “West Wind” and “Time to make a Stand” albums with songs penned by Nick Griffin MEP. In addition, there are two American southern rock albums and folk music CDs, all with themes pertinent to nationalism.
