New “Membership List Leak” Part of Concerted Anti-BNP Campaign

October 20, 2009 - By BNP News

NG5The alleged “new membership list leak” is part of a hysterical media-driven anti-British National Party campaign which is growing in intensity as the party threatens the corruption and treason of the old Westminster parties, Nick Griffin has said.

In his official reaction to early reports that a “new” BNP membership has been leaked via the Internet, Mr Griffin said he was unable to confirm that the list was real or not until the party had had a chance to examine it properly.

“The allegation is that it is complete as of April this year,” Mr Griffin said. “We have no way of knowing that as yet, but it might be possible that the new list is a concoction of the old leaked list combined with inquiries up until April.

“As everyone knows, inquiries are often made out of curiosity or even hostility, and cannot be taken as an indication of membership or support,” Mr Griffin said.

He said the party had strengthened its procedures in the run-up to the June elections, when the majority of inquiries and new membership applications had occurred. “If the new list is actually genuine, it will not be reflective of the party’s true membership figures or even the inquiries database,” Mr Griffin said.

In any event, he continued, the timing of the latest “list” was clearly designed to be part of a massive media hysteria smear campaign against the BNP in the run-up to his appearance on the BBC’s Question Time this week.

“We have seen newspaper reports with lies, television shows with lies, and now an internet campaign with lies thrown against us over the past two weeks,” Mr Griffin said.

He said that any persons who might receive harassment as a result of the latest attack should not hesitate to report it to the police as a hate crime. “Last time, calls were made to BNP members and supporters from Labour Party-supporting trade union call centres. If this should happen again, these calls should be recorded and handed in as evidence to the police. The police should also be asked to trace the calls.”

Mr Griffin added that the BNP would not be deterred from its mission by the intimidation attempt. “Those who are responsible for the latest attack will be tracked down and exposed,” he said.

“They should also remember that the BNP attracted waves of support after the last attack of this sort on the party. The British people are not easily intimidated and will see through this latest attempt to derail us.

“Those who seek to intimidate us should remember the words of the Greek philosopher, Sextus Empircus. He wrote: ‘the mills of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.’

“We have nothing to fear. We speak the truth about the dangers facing Britain, and attacks of this sort will never deter us from our goal. On the contrary, they make us more determined than ever to continue the fight for justice, truth and right,” Mr Griffin said.

“Let the enemies of Britain know: The BNP battleship sails on.”
