BNP Website Continues to Lead the Way with Technological Developments
The British National Party website has introduced a number of new technological breakthroughs including an interactive contacts map and a ‘Textometer’.
“We are already the most visited political site in Britain and these new developments will help us to keep that advantage,” Simon Bennett, BNP webmaster, told BNP News.
“The new contact map is an interactive way for visitors to the website to interact with the party on a local level,” Mr Bennett said.
“For far too long, website visitors wanting to contact the party or become involved at regional level have had to rely on the static way of calling a phone number or emailing an anonymous regional contact,” he said.
“However, the new interactive contact map has been linked to the tremendously successful social networking part of the site.
“A new website visitor can point to any region on the map to find contact information for the local branch or unit. Even better, by clicking on a particular region, a visitor can find links directly to local members who have taken the time to register on the social network for that region,” Mr Bennett said.
“This offers visitors the chance to ‘virtually’ meet BNP people with the aim of becoming actively involved in local party activities,” he continued.
“This is just one of the many new features and technologies upon which we are working in the background. One of the other new developments which site visitors may have already seen is the ‘Textometer’.
“This is a live donation feed linked directly to the background software attached to a party fundraising effort.
“The programme is still in its experimental stage, but we have great plans and ambitions for this system in the future,” Mr Bennett said. “Watch this space!”
