BNP Scotland Hard at Work for Glasgow By-Election
This past Sunday morning saw the another British National Party leaflet drop in Glasgow for the upcoming by-election, reports our Scottish correspondent.
BNP activist Walter Hamilton led a successful leafleting team in Barlornock where they distributed 1,500 party leaflets and election addresses.
“Our fantastic glossy A4 local leaflets have set a new standard of production which is unmatched by our rivals,” Mr Hamilton said.
In the afternoon, a second team set up in Milton where candidate Charlie Baillie hailed the residents of the Scaraway Terrace flats with the party megaphone while other top activists set up an election stall to give out free copies the Voice of Freedom newspaper, election addresses and window posters.
“All of the local youths who came around the stall were very friendly and enthusiastic — a real credit to the area — and showed the untapped potential of Milton, so long neglected by out-of-touch Labour and their cronies,” Mr Hamilton said.
“We listened as a lady supporter told us of how the council was notorious for poor maintenance and leaving things to the last minute,” he continued. “She referred specifically to dangerous potholes in the roads and local pavements. We were alerted also to concerns about Roma gypsies housed nearby and about falling hygiene standards.”
After an hour, the BNP team moved to Springburn shopping centre to set up and finish handing out the remainder of the papers and literature. “Here we were also well-received by a solidly decent and interested public,” Mr Hamilton said.
“We were also happy to give out papers to a number of different ethnic folk. By including them equally in our approach, we are letting them see for themselves that our reporting is fair and contains nothing but common sense. It is certainly not the hate-filled lies and fear that our enemies insist.”
All BNP members are encouraged to become involved in the next four weeks leading up to polling day on 12 November. So far, the campaign team has been to eleven locations, five of which have had table top sales. They distributed 6,000 leaflets and given out over 2,000 Voice of Freedom newspapers, but, says BNP Scotland leader, Gary Raikes, “this is just the start.”
“We need your help to reach every voter in the constituency. Even giving one day will make a difference. Please contact either Charlie Baillie 07827811008 or Walter Hamilton 07717774730 and join the next leafleting session in the ward,” Mr Raikes said.
