BNP Reaps 9,000 New Enquiries
It has now been confirmed that the total audience for Question Time peaked at around 8 million viewers, far higher than the usual 2.5 million. This was without doubt due to the pre-QT anti-BNP hate campaign organised by the media and the old gang parties.
The BNP web and campaigns team, anticipating an enormous rush of new people visiting the BNP website, arranged a temporary replacement webpage created specifically for recruitment and enquiries.
“This slimmed down recruitment page reduced the chance of people leaving our site without giving us some piece of information whereby we can contact them again. The result was gargantuan! By the end of the night some 9,000 new people had signed up as registered potential members or on our mailing lists.
Anticipating the avalanche of new people visiting the already immensely popular BNP website, Cllr Golding and BNP Webmaster Simon Bennett spent days organising this new configuration geared for recruitment, which was a spectacular success.
“In the Euro Elections we gained some 40,000 enquiries, but spent half a million pounds to do so — on Question Time night we spent peanuts but gained almost 25 percent of the Euro Election total in the space of eight hours! We had to upgrade our server capacity enormously, which allowed us to cope with the extra traffic. Unlike previous times when we have been subject to huge publicity, our website stayed online throughout and we harvested a huge number of new people who were sickened by the bullying of Chairman Nick Griffin on QT,” said BNP Webmaster Simon Bennett.
* Mr Bennett added that interest in the BNP website had remained high on Friday. A further 1000 people had registered for membership of the party when the current freeze is lifted.
