BNP Government Will End Foreign Aid Policy, Bromsgrove BNP Told

October 7, 2009 - By News Team

Arthur-Kemp-bromsgrove-BNP-meetingA British National Party government would end the foreign aid budget until there is no more need amongst British people, the party’s Bromsgrove branch was told last night.

Speaking before approximately 50 people, party spokesman on foreign affairs Arthur Kemp said that the current £8 billion foreign aid budget would be one of the first things cut by the BNP to help bring the budget deficit under control.

“Experts predict that the budget deficit will top £250 billion before the year’s end,” Mr Kemp said. “Of this figure, some £150 billion is the result of the bank bailout which also needs to be brought to an end by making those bodies liable for their own debts.

“However, the scandal of the foreign aid budget continues to grow as British tax money is handed out all over the globe while shortages abound in Britain,” he said.

“For example, it has just been announced that nearly 3,000 British teachers are to lose their jobs because of cutbacks in the education budget.

“Yet at the very same time, the Department for International Development (DFID) has announced that it has given £18.5 million cash handout for Bangladeshi schools.

“The Labour Party’s International Development Minister Mike Foster said that, ‘Without the UK’s help, schools across Bangladesh would be forced to close and teachers would lose their jobs because of the global financial crisis.’

“So British tax money can be used to pay for teachers in Bangladesh, but not in Britain,” Mr Kemp said. He gave numerous examples of cash-strapped hospitals and essential services in Britain having to close while the same services were provided in other countries by DFID money.

“According to the International Monetary Fund, India’s economy is worth $3 trillion.  The IMF says that Britain’s economy is worth $2.2 trillion. Why is Britain giving India foreign aid?” he asked.

Mr Kemp said the Conservative Party was even worse and had announced that they would double the foreign aid budget while making cutbacks in services at home.

“This is all being done as part of a guilt inducing programme designed to make British people ashamed of their identity, heritage and history.

“They seek to blame the ills of the world upon white people in general and British people in particular. That is why the Tories claim it is our ‘moral responsibility’ to provide foreign aid.

“The BNP rejects this ‘blame whitey’ approach and says that there will not be a penny available for foreign aid until there is no more need amongst British people,” he said to rousing applause.
