Cornwall BNP Given Branch Status

September 20, 2009 - By BNP News

cornwall-bnpBritish National Party activity in Cornwall has grown to the point where that group has now been upgraded to branch status, new South West regional organiser Mike Howson has announced.

Speaking at the latest group meeting in Cornwall, Mr Howson said the hard work undertaken by all the activists under the guidance of the outgoing organiser Brin Jenkins had ensured that the groups’ status could be upgraded.

“The breakthrough was the fielding of four candidates at the local county elections last June,” Mr Howson said.

New branch organiser Sue Bowen announced she is putting together an enhanced management team and planning a continuing campaign strategy to begin in October.

“We are currently organising contacts for Cornwall, which is a very scattered county with a large rural population,” Ms Bowen said.
