Our Caseworkers will be the BNP’s councillors-in-waiting

July 16, 2009 - By Martin Wingfield

nw-regional-meeting02AS Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons took their seats in the European Parliament yesterday, the British National Party launched its five  year campaign in Yorkshire and the North West to help the people of  the two regions who feel let down by the representatives of the Old  Gang parties.

The primary aim of the campaign is to establish teams of Caseworkers to act as community representatives, responding to requests for help.

These key personnel will be trained to the highest standard and will be the BNP’s first choice as local election candidates in the areas where they operate.

They will be our ‘councillors-in-waiting’ and the experience and knowledge they gain in the course of their community work will be harnessed within a new, sophisticated Case Management Database. This system can then be rolled-out to all our Party councillors – enabling them to deal more effectively and efficiently with the requests for assistance they receive.

Caseworker training will provide the successful candidates with:

* IT competence
* Guidance in key personal/professional skills.
* Foundation blocks for making a good councillor.
* Knowledge on how to forge partnerships with local community groups.
* Political legitimacy gained from representing an MEP.

Tina Wingfield, Constituency manager (North West), explained more  about the scheme:

“This is new ground for all of us and to a certain extent we  will be learning as we go along. Whilst the MEPs from the three main parties are content to focus their attention on maximising their expenses claims and revelling in the Euro trough, we intend to behave as elected representatives of the people should do – by working within the constituency to the benefit of the community.

“Our Caseworkers will be Nick Griffin’s representatives, providing the first point of contact for those seeking help from their MEP, so we are looking for committed and enthusiastic volunteers.”

Anyone interested in becoming a Caseworker please write to:

For the North West: The Secretary, PO.Box 107, Wigton, Cumbria CA7 0YA.
For Yorkshire: The Secretary, PO Box 116, Leeds, LS27 9WW.
