Carlisle BNP Reach Out at Skelton Show

July 7, 2009 - By BNP News

bnp-skelton-showCarlisle British National Party have not rested since the election, and have already had a city centre table sale and an appearance at the Skelton Show, reports Carlisle organiser and North West secretary Alistair Barbour.

“On Saturday the 4th July it was time to set up our stall at the first country show of the season, in Skelton just outside Penrith,” Mr Barbour said.

“As usual there was a warm welcome and lots of people came over to congratulate us on getting Mr Nick Griffin elected. One clear point was that the conservative vote is ripe for the taking. Time and again people came over to say they had voted for us or will vote for us next time,” he said.

“When we asked why ‘next time’, many said they were plain embarrassed at the way the Conservative Party was now bowing and scraping to every anti-British group out there.

“A number also complained about David Cameron’s endorsement of the Communist Party-aligned front UAF organisation, saying that this was completely incompatible with the tradition of the Tory party.”
