BNP Scotland Gears Up for Glasgow By-Election
The British National Party in Glasgow and West have held their first post-election council meeting and are already planning ahead to the upcoming Glasgow North East by-election.
“BNP Scotland is back in the fray and have just finished a proactive and constructive meeting, with the main emphasis being on the coming by-election,” said Mr Gary Raikes, BNP Scotland leader.
“There was a positive input by a number of those present and, at the suggestion of the Meetings Chairman, Robert Bonnar, members were invited to make suggestions on how the campaign should proceed,” Mr Raikes said.
“It was stressed that we need now to be seen as a viable and credible political party with more than one issue on our agenda. The people of Glasgow know where we stand on immigration and the Islamification of Britain. We can now let them know how we would deal with local issues,” he said.
“We are also grateful for the appointment of the ever hard-working Clive Jefferson to the role of campaign manager for the by-election,” Mr Raikes added. “Our aim is to save our deposit and poll above the Lib-Dems, a real possibility in the present climate.”
