Another point Rev West and his support team might like to deploy — the only way to test the British National Party is to elect them and see what they do. We know, now, from experience, what UKIP, Greens, SNP, and Plaid Cymru do when elected – nothing. But if they'd never been elected, nobody could be sure. Admittedly these are not happy precedents — but it's worth telling voters, in effect, give BNP a chance. Electing Rev West may help the rest of the country decide how to vote when the General Election is finally forced upon Mad King Brown.

I noticed this email from 'anglo48' in the discussion on the mass media as the main enemy:

Today I saw a bulletin from the National Union of Journalist's Norfolk branch sent to each of its members, in which it stated that the BNP must be given negative coverage at all times during the by-election campaign that is taking place in Norwich North. So much for our balanced press. Paul Golding is absolutely right. The press, and the media in general, are our chief enemies, more even than the politicians. …

If we have a leaflet for Norwich, it should include this – possibly a photo reproduction of the 'bulletin' – so the people know what to expect from the junk media coverage of their election..

Tell the Reverend West not too forget, that they nailed Jesus to the cross simply because he went around telling the truth. Now they want to nail the B.N.P too the political cross, simply because we are prepared to go around and tell the truth also. But in the end the truth will prevail .God bless the B.N.P

It's possible that the best technique would be to get together a good leaflet, packed with information of the sort this website (but no other source) has.

I know from my own experience that
[i] a lot of people don't pay much attention to stalls – many are uneasy about any. Political activity, or any other sort of campaigning, for that matter.
[ii] People even after careful discussion soon forget the message, typically when watching the 'news' where they don't usually pick up the subtle lies they are fed. ("Housing for the British" for example).

I don't dispute for a second that there is a lot of lively interest, and quite a few people are 'converted'. And though there's a drop-out rate of members, I suspect the permanent conversion rate to the BNP is high, since it needs some mental effort against the junk media, which is not a light matter. Others are converted through circumstance – they may be unable to get housing, or see schools turned violent, or experience anti-white racism.

So I really think detailed leaflets – not enormous detail; but punchy stuff on all topics – might be the best way forward. They would also save each activist having to argue with the public. Just a thought, anyway.

This is an excellent idea. A movement with such lofty aims and which faces so many obstacles needs to have some kind of spiritual support. Not that it should be pushy or in your face, but it should be available for those that seek it.

I sincerely hope Reverend West wins this seat.

The Lib/Lab/Con/UKIP lot are still reeling from the BNP having Councillors, County Councillors and 2 MEPs. Getting Reverend West elected as an MP would REALLY put the fear of God in the lot of them.

No doubt the dirty tricks will be in full force again.

Anyone have any idea when the by-election is due to take place?
