Unprecedented Birmingham Day of Action Sees West Midlands Euro Leaflet Fund Target Reached

Birmingham was treated to an intensive day’s campaigning from the British National Party yesterday consisting of four simultaneous table top literature distributions, Truth Truck campaigning, leafleting teams and a Battle for Britain road show in the evening which reached the West Midlands Euro leaflet fund target.
The four table top literature distributions were held in Maypole, Yardley Wood, Billesley and Sheldon. All were visited by the Truth Truck, driven by Councillor Paul Golding and accompanied by West Midlands lead Euro candidate Simon Darby. Thousands of pieces of literature were distributed at the tables and by leafleting teams which swept through the surrounding housing estates, Mr Darby told BNP News.
“The public response was incredible,” said Mr Darby. “Everywhere we went, cars hooted their approval, people stopped to talk or ask questions and we ran out of literature at one point.”
Thankfully the Truth Truck was able to resupply the distribution points with leaflets and the campaigning continued without a hitch.
In the evening, the BNP’s Battle for Britain road show took center stage with Mr Darby as Master of Ceremonies. More than 160 people packed the venue, and over £3,600 was raised.
“This means that our West Midlands Euro leaflet target fund of £24,000 has now been reached,” Mr Darby said. “We are now fully on track to give the West Midlands our best shot in the upcoming elections. From now on it is door-to-door campaigning as our struggle to rescue this country from the disastrous Labour-Con nightmare speeds up. We look forward to June 4, when everyone will have the opportunity to vote for the BNP.”
