Martin Wingfield

Martin Wingfield is the 58 year-old editor of the British National Party’s newspaper Voice of Freedom.
He is married to Tina, the British National Party’s membership secretary, and has three children, the eldest two who are now at university.
A former member of the old Liberal Party, Martin joined the National Front in 1976 and served on its National Directorate from 1980. In 1984 he was prosecuted over an election leaflet that warned that
immigration would change the face of Britain for ever. He was fined £1,500 but refused to pay on a matter of principle, and served three months in Pentonville Prison including Christmas 1985.
Martin has edited over 250 editions of various British nationalist newspapers, including 80 issues of Freedom, but has also worked outside of politics, running a hotel in France and managing hotels in the UK.
He is a regular contributor to the BNP’s website and also has a popular personal daily weblog.
