The British National Party’s Campaign for North Yorkshire Continues!
The British National Party’s North Yorkshire campaign is picking up speed as it works though all the major towns in the region, reports Leeds Councillor Chris Beverley.
Set into motion by Regional Organiser Adrian Marsden, a BNP team of more than a dozen today conducted yet another leafleting session in the town of Thirsk and the surrounding villages.
Braving the freezing cold and snowy conditions, the intrepid BNP team distributed thousands of leaflets throughout the day.
“The team and their leaflets were very well received,” said Councillor Beverley. “In fact, people had started ringing the inquiry line for more information and expressing support even before we got back home.”
A meeting of local supporters followed the day’s leafleting session, with the major topic of discussion being the further sessions in Thirsk and other North Yorkshire towns and villages over the coming months.
The BNP is also interested in recruiting suitable persons to stand as candidates for the party in the North Yorkshire County Council Elections, to be held on 4th June 2009, Councillor Beverley added. “Please contact the party’s national inquiries line on 0871 0500 241 for further information.”
