Vote for the British National Party Lions in the 2009 European Elections

Update with Video: BNP Trounce All Comers in Boston Borough Council By-Election

November 14, 2008 by BNP News

David Owens, British National Party by-election candidate in the Fenside ward seat on the Boston Borough Council, Lincolnshire, has beaten all comers, piling up more votes than the Tories, Labour, Lib-Dems and UKIP combined.

The incredible result, achieved on a 22.1 percent turnout in Thursday’s election, saw Mr Owens (image) cruise to a comfortable win with 279 votes. The second placed candidate was an independent, who polled 141 votes. Next came the Tories, with 119 votes, Labour with 64 votes, UKIP with 24 votes and the Lib-Dems with 23 votes.

“The BNP campaign was fought on national issues, and on immigration in particular,” said Councillor Wayne McDermott, the BNP’s East Midlands election officer.

“There are two important implications in this result,” Mr McDermott continued. “The first is that there are a large number of similar wards in and around Boston, in which this result could easily be replicated. Boston therefore has the potential to become a key area for the BNP.

“The other important factor is the total collapse of UKIP. In the 2004 Euro elections, Lincolnshire was one of the strongest areas to come out for UKIP, and it is clear that the BNP has now surpassed that group as the premier anti-EU party of choice for those voters.”

Just got back from the count and we are all chuffed to bits. Thanks to everyone who came and supported Dave; without your help we may not have got this result. It was also great to see some of the supporters who do so much work in Lincolnshire and beyond at the count for this historic occasion. This is Lincolnshire’s first truly elected borough councillor. That takes the BNP’s number of councillors to 5 in Lincolnshire as we have 3 parish councillors and 1 Town Councillor too, whereas a few short years ago there were none.

    Onwards & Upwards!

  2. M Luchag on November 14th, 2008 12:38 am

    Congratulations David Owens!

The tide is beginning to turn, the People are gradually seeing the light, the wood from the trees, seperating the chaff from the straw… Another good day for those who support the Freedom, Free will and Free spirit of the indigenous British peoples.

  3. Lancashire Patriot on November 14th, 2008 12:43 am

Fantastic result!! Well done indeed Mr Owens, you have inspired us all. This is a record in so many ways, the first de novo by-election victory in 4 years, and the first ever in a largely rural area, I think. Rejoice! Rejoice!

  4. AbertaweBNP on November 14th, 2008 12:51 am

Come on, lets have it, the tide is turning, I just read the story, thank you The BNP and David Owens and everyone who made this possible.

I have goose pimples and a lump in my throat.

This nation can be Great again. I am over the moon.
    God Bless Us All.

Onwards and Upwards and Proud To Be BNP

  5. Brian Cosworth on November 14th, 2008 12:51 am

I am beside myself with joy. What a FANTASTIC result. Huge congrats to David Owens and his team. This sort of result is going to continue. We WILL be elected. We WILL take our country back.

Mr McDermott said, “… large number of similar wards in and around Boston, in which this result could easily be replicated …” I think Mr Mc Dermott should change that to “… around Britain …”

Talking of UKIP’s total collapse, I must disagree. The Alexa ratings showed them on the bottom of the Internet so low down that their performance could not be measured. Well they have come up a notch, someone logged in !!! :) :))

  6. jrb on November 14th, 2008 12:53 am

Congratulations to all concerned! It’s been a while since we’ve won a by-election in a ward which we’ve never held before - if my memory’s right not since ‘03 or thereabouts, and that’s simply because our country’s enemies can throw everything they’ve got at a one-off by-election.

So this is quite something - and in a rural seat too! After this I’m beginning to think that we’re really going to do it - hope is giving way to certainty.

  7. political mizz on November 14th, 2008 12:56 am

YES! This news has made my day; what a result! I’m so happy we’re going from strength to strength, the British people are waking up and not only waking up but roaring their disapproval at the other traitorous parties, so well done David.

  8. RW on November 14th, 2008 12:59 am

Almost twice the number of votes of the second candidate. Incredible! Well done, Mr Owens. I seem to recall there were three more by-elections - I’m typing this late at night… maybe more good news tomorrow… Let’s hope so!

This is fantastic news for Boston and exactly what is needed in this area. People are now realizing that the BNP are the ONLY party to deal with the issues in this area so hopefully Boston will become a key area for the BNP.

Congratulations David and to everyone else involved and indeed to all the voters who have made this possible.

Wow! Dare Gormless Brain call a snap General Election in the new year?.
The really good news is that it was not a victory on local issues, but national issues. Well done to the BNP team, and voters.

  30. je8stuart on November 14th, 2008 9:03 am

Well done David Owens. It’s a good job that I look at out party’s website every day because this was not reported on Sky, BBC, ITV or any papers. I wonder why?

It does not seem to merit the great “victory” for Gordon Brown last week in Scotland. There are no great celebrations around the country. Jeremy Vine is not jumping for joy on his radio show.

I would hate to think that the media are being predjudiced because this is a victory of someone from the wrong ethnicticity. Perish the thought!

I dont know, an indigenous British man, representiing British people in a British election and having the impertinance to win. What is this country coming to? Mark my words they will let us celebrate Christmas soon.

Either way the people have spoken. Onwards & Upwards BNP!

This result means I can now Officially Come Out,Say I support the BNP,and activly point out the Boston result without fear of being treated like an outcast.
I think that this is one of the most important Electoral results the BNP has achieved so far because I know how relatively cautious Rural Voters are.
    Fantastic,Great and WELL DONE!!

  39. SheriffofNottingham on November 14th, 2008 9:44 am

Thrilling victory, but why should it seem so when all it is is British people voting for their own interests - isn’t that what politics is all about? Just shows how far we’d been driven along the road to political insanity by the Liblabcon Crazy Car drivers. Time for reverse gear and a BNP hand on the steering wheel!

Anyone care to bet that the LOSING parties will claim it was ‘only on a small turnout and doesn’t reflect the views and opinions of the majority population.’
Tell that to the Marines, two of whom were killed yesterday in the pointless war in Afghanistan.

I think JG is suspended at the moment for calling a Tory he was interviewing a nazi, fascist [yawn] etc on his radio show. Well done, unbelievable

  54. Collin Brown on November 14th, 2008 11:14 am

The SheriffofNottingham has raised a salient point. The voting public has had 11 years to savour the full on aroma-rich flavour of multicultural enrichment on an industrial scale affecting an indigenous society who never requested it.

This experience alone has left thousands with a taste so bad - that their inner survival instincts have taken over - rejecting en-mass, the folly of such an ill-conceived Marxist driven – New Labour policy.

Link to the history of Political Correctness for those unfamiliar with Marxism.

    Great result, David and team.

I wonder where this leaves Harman’s proposal that the Palace of Westminster be more ‘representative’ of the British public? As far as I can see the BNP should stand a candidate where LibLabCon do so under this latest guise at forced cultural enrichment, when it goes through. These people are unbelievable. Any person who has properly read Marx and Engels knows what a failed ideology Marxism is. And anyone who has walked the streets of any major British city.

Unfortunately I do not have the bravery to be a B.N.P. activist as I live in a sensitive area (if you know what I mean). Many congratulations on this victory :^)

Boston’s immigrant population has risen from around 4% in 2000 to an estimated 25% today, of a total population of 70,000, and tensions have grown. There has been little increase in resources for health and education in this time.

Government has failed ti prepare cash-strapped councils for the influx of immigrants by giving them the resources to invest in public services.

This has left schools, health facilities and transport struggling to cope.

A report out today shows that, despite LibLabCon propaganda to the contrary,

“Economic benefits of mass immigration are close to zero”

There is most definitely reason to hope that we can save the day! ‘Yes we can!’

My family has wartime links with Boston. My father used to fly really low along the drains, nice straight lines, so low he was out of sight, in his Oxford trainer, then soar up, but still low, to circle Boston High where my mother was teaching. She knew it was her husband as did the entire school, but they could do nothing about it because Boston and the surroundings were designated a low-flight training area.

He is a fit and healthy man, 90 next month, and shares our views, values and patriotism because these beliefs gave him the courage to fly his Lancaster in their defence.

I am verbally abused as a fascist (yawn) now and then, when out walking the paper. Would these snarlers like to spit the same venom to my father? He hasn’t changed

Well done Boston. Back then and now, there are certain truths we must uphold, and you people just did.

CONGRATULATIONS BOSTON, it took Boston in the USA to start off a revolution, now it’s Boston in the UK’s turn. Well done, now come on the rest of the UK let’s copy it, best wishes from all on the Isle of Wight.

FanBNPTastic. That’s got to have Gordon Blair a headache and sleepless night - that won’t be on the noos much.

  85. AndrewB on November 14th, 2008 7:53 pm

This absolutely made my weekend. Congratulations and thank you BNP!

  86. Redhawk85 on November 14th, 2008 7:59 pm

    Well,I am fed up with being fed up. So I thought that you all might enjoy a poem that I wrote when I worked as a shuttering joiner helping to build Mount Pleasant Airport in the Falkland Islands, Febuary 1985-April 1986. Hope you enjoy this;

Low lying horizon, black and soundless sight,
    Decandescent dulling of the stars,
    Pre-Cambrian Night, unknown,
Deep and distant, beyond the mind,
Faint pulsations of twilight’s deep purple heart,
Pumps blood red life into the gloom.

Low lions arising hunt the boundless night,
    Incandesce the dawning from afar,
    Lull lustre of light intone,
Song strong, lilt night’s nervousness behind,
    Manifestations of morning’s mystery impart,
The glow that makes the blackness bloom.

    Orchestrally, morning’s colours mingle,
    Resound triumphant in the heavens,
Like a lion’s mane knit manifold golden,
Stiffening to deafening silent roars of conquest,
    Then life’s celebration condenses,
As the yellow god sits splendid in the sky.

And as we saw we ceased to talk,
But marvelled at the red-backed hawk,
That stopped all sound and motion too,
And mesmerised us as it flew.

We vanished; the heavy hawk soared single,
Into regions that are the havens,
Of whispering winds and Spirits of olden
Time, for at their silent behest,
This was where the hawk was born,
The roaring of an East Cove dawn.

  87. Chesternationalist on November 14th, 2008 8:24 pm

Thanks for that red hawk, a very nice read.

    Seconded. - Ed.

And so say all of us!

    Congratulations!

Quite simply …..FANTASTIC. Well done David.

  90. Peter Phillips on November 14th, 2008 8:35 pm

    Fantastic news! What a win!

  91. orion on November 14th, 2008 8:43 pm

At last Boston Borough council will have a councillor who speaks the truth, puts the people that he represents 1st, and is an honest decent man. If David is willing to put in the time & effort sorting out the affairs of his constituents, word of his good work will spread around Boston and not only will he be re-elected next time around, but he will make it easier for other BNP candidates to be elected in neighbouring wards.

Go for it Councillor Owens, take no prisoners and show them LibLabCon councillors how it’s done and that the BNP means business !

  92. SheriffofNottingham on November 14th, 2008 9:03 pm

Redhawk 85, that is an incredibly beautiful poem. You really have a way with words, unlike Boston Borough Council’s leader Richard Austin who “was a man of few words on election night”. Swallowed his tongue from shock, I would think. After the result all he would say was “I think this will have serious implications for Boston and I want to reflect on the implications of this result.” What he meant was this has serious implications for Liblabcon and he wants to spend some time calculating how he can protect his gold-plated pension.

  93. MC SE9 on November 14th, 2008 9:11 pm

The truth and the indigenous British confidence in ourselves and the facts in front of the indigenous public’s eyes that what the other political parties have given us and what they will continue to give us is not right for us as indigenous British nations and actually destroys which is true and met to us and our children is all you need.
Thank you all concerned in Boston and thank you David, job at hand now mate for you, fight like a lion for the Brits where you are, because you are undoubtably a lion of a Brit, tend your pride.

  94. imperialechoes on November 14th, 2008 9:15 pm

Superb & well deserved result ….

As they say .. “From little acorns ….. “

  95. Erinmore on November 14th, 2008 9:21 pm

    A first-class result!

  96. secret squirl on November 14th, 2008 9:55 pm

Jon Cruddas, Horrible Harman, Jocky Broon, Dave ‘nice’ Boy, Clegg the irrelevant,( i could go on), your boys took one hell of a beating!!! ( i’d get used to that if i were you!), I just got back from the pub, was going to stop drinking, forget it, what a result!!, David Owens, congratulations to you and all your team, what a credit you all are. Last time I was in Boston was 1986, when Chris Cook’s brace was enough to beat Barrow in a 2.1 victory (football), back then, I am sure enrichment was unheard of. I wish you good fortune in the times ahead. There is no better news for me this weekend, what a result!!

  97. D. Hounsome on November 14th, 2008 10:09 pm

Well done David, what a way to start the day.
Also thanks to the people of Boston who bothered to “way up” the issues of the day and voted accordingly. Perhaps the snowball has started to roll….

  98. emailer on November 14th, 2008 11:06 pm

Brilliant absolutely brilliant all the best to all that voted.

  99. Despairing Dan on November 14th, 2008 11:21 pm

Many congratulations to all concerned, what a relief to see that at least the good citizens of Boston care about their country. I went to work with a happy heart this morning, having recieved the newsflash by text of this marvellous result. I feel sure this will be repeated up and down the country, but beware those cardboard ballot boxes and postal votes. We have them running scared now, and they will do all they can to try and smear and demonise the party. There will be much hand wringing and attempts to analyse the results, but the simple truth is that the people of Britain have had enough, their tolerance has run out. We want our country back, and no amount of spin and lies from the Lib Lab Con is going to change that.. Onward and upwards.

  100. ArtDecade on November 15th, 2008 12:06 am

    How Far !
    All The Way !

  101. Teninthebed on November 15th, 2008 12:18 am

Well done David and all the team at Boston - may God be with you!

And an equally big “well done” to all those BNP voters in Boston. It takes courage to vote BNP in the current environment of intimidation and misinformation, but unless the native people of this country do so then a few years down the line the clash between our culture and those of the growing number of invaders will turn to widespread violence - history tells us that much.

Please vote BNP now for your sake, your children’s sake and your grandchildren’s sake.

  102. Oldfatandloaded on November 15th, 2008 9:22 am

Fantastic, and congratulations for a superb result.

But just why do the good people of this country wait until their wages are driven down and their sons and daughters are unable to find work before they finally act ?
Can the white working classes especially not see that Nulab have no interest in their future and have been betrayed time and time again with empty promises.

  103. Kentish Man on November 15th, 2008 11:08 am

Thanks to all our fellow patriots who campaigned and voted for the BNP to bring about this great result. With this level of commitment we can and will achieve wonders in future European and National elections.

We even managed to get a reasonably unbiased press, although the Daily Mail couldn’t resist calling us (erroneously) a ‘far-right’ party and (presumably to satisfy NUJ guidelines to provide ‘balance’ to anything written about the BNP) quoted remarks by a Tory and a Labour MP which were untrue and inflammatory. Tory MP Mark Simmonds’ opinion that ‘the BNP are a threat and to our country and contribute nothing to society’ is clearly not shared by a majority of voters and Labour MP Jon Cruddas’ view that ‘people have got to realise that the consequences of them giving support to the BNP at the ballot box is an increase in threats and violence’ is frankly inflammatory.

As other posters have said, threats and violence do not emanate from the BNP but from our fanatical fascist opponents of the left. If this sort of remark had been made by a representative of a defeated BNP candidate it would almost certainly have been referred for investigation by the police and of course the press would have had a field day with stories of knuckledragging thugs etc.

Still, we are getting there. Onwards BNP!

  104. cigpapers on November 15th, 2008 2:33 pm

V is for Victory to the BNP!

  105. Tommy on November 15th, 2008 3:14 pm

    Congratulations!

People are finally beginning to realise that the financial firestorm sweeping Europe is only a precursor to something far worse if we continually allow immigrant colonisation of our lands.

  106. AndrewB on November 15th, 2008 6:05 pm

Isnt it strange how whenever there is a BNP election victory the press invariably seem to be able to quote mysterious yet un-named “sources” claiming there will be an increase in violence and racism?
Have there been any such incidents in Barking & Dagenham or Stoke or any other areas where the BNP has elected councillors?
Of course not, because the media have probably had teams of reporters scouring these areas for any shred of evidence of any such “incidents” and if there had been any they would have been screaming about them from the rooftops!

  107. THELMA H on November 15th, 2008 8:26 pm

Well done David and the team! Also the good folk of Boston who still want to live in a democracy! I’m convinced that this is the beginning of the end for the lib/lab/con morons !

  108. Beth K on November 16th, 2008 3:10 pm

Great result, congratulations David Owens and the BNP.

This a vote for democracy, British people and our way of life, and importantly, this is a vote against communism.

I hope this result can be repeated in councils throughout this great country.

    Great result!

  109. je8stuart on November 17th, 2008 8:06 am

Further to my comments that I left on Friday about the media ignoring the issue.
The Daily Mail reported it on Saturday saying about fears of racism now that our party has been elected. It says that attacks and predjudice against foreigners will now increase because of our victory.

    Check it out.

Can’t we take action against them?
    -
The Daily Backstabber’s blatantly biased article seems to have backfired on them somewhat when they were forced to initially suspend, then close the comments facility. Too many pro BNP comments one suspects - Ed

  110. rogshar on November 17th, 2008 6:46 pm

Well the Daily Mail at least mentioned the result which is more than could be said for the others. Obviously the penny has’nt dropped yet with our so called free press. But they cannot ignore the obvious forever. Whats the odds that one of the right wing commentators will eventually admit the obvious. Where are you Littlejohn?

  111. Pop Larkin on November 17th, 2008 10:06 pm

A RESOUNDING “WELL DONE” TO ONE AND ALL. ASOLUTLY FANTASTIC. feel as thrilled as the Liberal left upon Obama’s victory, maybe even more so !!!
God, doesn’t it feel good to be a BNP member? ( to all those non member,”come on in Boys, the waters lovely) !!!

    Slowly, slowly catchy monkey……………………

    Onward & ever upward.

  112. edith crowther on November 18th, 2008 12:34 pm

Well done - but I wanted to add, the video of the count and the speech of thanks is pure gold. No boastful cheers or bragging, just a quiet, modest and dignified acceptance by the candidate and his supporters, and a heartfelt but not overemotional speech of thanks by the candidate to the electoral officers, his helpers, and above all the people who voted for him. You can’t get more British than this if you try but David Owens was just being his natural self.

Contrast this with the behaviour of the LibDems at the recent council by-election for Kentish Town. On winning (by a small margin) the candidate and his mass of excitable supporters behaved like a Camden version of the Bullingdon Club, crowing and cheering, posing in a mass on the grand staircase of the Town Hall for a jubilant group photo, etc.

This country is in serious trouble, whoever is to blame, and anyone who gets elected to a position of authority needs to understand that they have undertaken grave responsibilities and look both cheerful and grave if that’s possible. Which is what David Owens did. Sometimes the TV camera catches people in the crowd looking at BNP candidates and leaders with a kind of desperate hope as they might look at a potential saviour. This really is a very great burden as well as a privilege, and I think people are increasingly going to look at candidates’ faces and make a 7-second decision to vote for them or not on whether they look honest, modest, kind, and uninterested in collecting perks and emoluments (not sure what emoluments means but it sounds like it means a no-no so far as voters are concerned). I also think people are not going to mind if candidates sound a bit abrupt and to-the-point - they are fed up with the talkative charmers of both sexes.

  113. royalecraig on November 18th, 2008 10:48 pm

The Media ‘worry’ about racist crime caused by yet another BNP win is simply Marxist double talk.
They are openly using mass murder againt us in their anti British Genocide.

The BNP are the only Party that will tell the Truth about what the EU is doing to the British People and our Country.

Are they really concerned about rising crime, racist attacks, or are they just trying to prevent the British people from voting for the BNP.

    You decide.
