Immigration Invasion Roundup 28 August 2008

August 29, 2008 - By BNP News

County Durham — Bogus asylum invaders jailed for drug-farm work. Two bogus Chinese asylum-seekers have been jailed after police raided the cannabis factories they looked after for a drugs gang.

Ping Ming Fan, 25, and Yu Yang, 28, both from Szechuan Province in China, signed up with an ‘agency” they hoped would find them work in return for £100. But the women, who cannot speak English, were sent to the North-East where they were employed by their countrymen tending hundreds of plants in two rented houses in Stanley, County Durham.

Durham Crown Court was told that 389 young plants were found at the house in Annfield Terrace, Catchgate, and 363 at the property in North Thorn, Shield Row.

The pair admitted being concerned in the cultivation of cannabis and using false railcards. The proceedings were translated into Mandarin by an interpreter.

Joe Hedworth, for Fan, said his client had only been in England a few days when she was offered £600 a month to stay at one of the houses and water the plants, but she received no money.

Judge Michael Cartlidge jailed both women for 18 months, saying: “These two young ladies had been exploited. I think their position is absolutely tragic. They wanted to work and because of their vulnerability they have been recruited by criminals.”

Wembley — 100 Illegal Invaders Arrested in One Swoop. More than 100 illegal invaders were rounded up by immigration officers who swooped on a Wembley business. Nine unmarked vans containing about 30 officers from the UK Border Agency raided the warehouse of Euro Car Parts, in Fulton Road. More than 100 employees of the car part distribution firm were rounded up on its large industrial site, as the immigration enforcers streamed in and secured a number of entrances and exits.

Police dogs then searched the grounds to locate any workers hiding in the delivery van forecourt, customer car park, and vast warehouse where the company stored its merchandise.

Identification checks were then carried out to determine who could legally work in the UK and those who had fake and invalid documents and visas.

Five people from Brazil, Columbia and India had been arrested and a further 12 people were being interrogated to determine if they had permission to work in the country.

Halifax — Bogus asylum invader sent to prison. A bogus asylum invader who caused three major street disturbances in Halifax in just two days as a protest against his failed application has been jailed for 14 days.

Imran Marish, 44, of no fixed address, was described by police during one incident as going “totally crazy” in the town centre, while in another incident he continually screamed obscenities at residents in a quiet Pellon street until officers arrived.

And each time after his three arrests on June 16 and 17 he refused to co-operate or speak to officers. He was sentenced for the public order offence at Calderdale Magistrates Court after being found guilty in his absence during a trial at Bradford Magistrates. He also admitted shoplifting from a discount shoe shop and failing to provide a drug test sample.

Twickenham — Illegal invader internet cafe attempted rapist jailed. An illegal invader who attempted to rape a woman in a Twickenham internet cafe was told he had “disturbed” sexual views as he was sentenced to four years’ prison.

Anosh Ahmed, 30, from Harrow, was handed the prison term at Kingston Crown Court by Judge Matthews after he was found guilty of attempted rape late last month. Ahmed was convicted by a majority verdict of attacking a 21-year-old in the Coffee Day internet cafe in York Street at about 5pm on February 24.

The court heard that Ahmed let the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, into the cafe after hours to use the internet and then started kissing and touching her, preventing her from leaving. He then dragged her into a toilet, forced her to the floor and told her to take off her clothes, telling her: “It’s ok, it’s only sex, you don’t want to die do you?”

Ruth Field, speaking in mitigation, told the court that Ahmed, who has an economics degree, had come to the UK six years ago and stayed on illegally. She also went on to say that he had had a good character until now. The judge ordered that Ahmed be deported upon release and sign the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

Covent Garden — Posh restaurant employed illegals. The famous “Ivy” restaurant in famous tourist attraction Covent Garden, London, hired illegal invaders and paid them half the minimum wage, a court has heard.

Caprice Holdings, whose eateries include The Ivy, had the 25 invaders working up to nine hours a day six days a week. The workers took home just £300 a fortnight, meaning they were paid just £2.77 an hour, the jury was told. Most of the invaders come from Guinea in West Africa. They all used a single French passport by rotating it between them and sliding their photos under the plastic. Two of them were jailed for nine months on Thursday for identity fraud. Papies Camara, 19, and Sellou Bah, 28, were homeless and penniless when they arrived from Guinea, the court was told. Camara was befriended by a man called Barry Diao who offered to get him a passport, his lawyer Ravinder Thukral said.

Reading — Invaders caught in day blitz on rogue drivers. Three illegal invaders have been found in a car during a police clampdown on unlawful drivers in Tilehurst, Langley Hill, Reading.  The Vietnamese nationals were driving a Volkswagen Passat when they were pulled over by police and handed over to the Immigration Service.
