Nomination papers etc were put in today in Glasgow and accepted, Charlie baillie will be announced as our official candidate tomorrow when we will find out the names and parties of all those standing. 

 

This is the result from the last election for Baillieston ward

 

2007 first preference votes
Labour 770 45.96%
SNP 449 33.24%
Conservative 678 6.53%
Solidarity 466 4.49%
Liberal Democrat 392 3.78%
Socialist 224 2.16%
Unionist 216 2.08%
Green 181 1.74%
 

 

 

 

 

The election team were out both days on the weekend canvassing in the ward a full report will be posted later.
