Has the Royal Navy really been reduced to this?

When one of our correspondents directed us to a story on the website of Russia Today we were, admittedly, a little sceptical. The story reads:
Abramovich money props up UK Navy
Britain’s Royal Navy has started training crews to man the luxury yachts of the rich and famous and one of their first clients is reportedly Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. He owns one of the world’s largest private yachts.
According to the Wall Street Journal the crew have already undergone a course on fire fighting and emergency procedures.
The Navy is training butlers, skippers and stewards to serve on the billionaire’s exclusive boats. The head of the programme says the Royal Navy needs the money since the government reduced its budget.
However, on referring to the Wall Street Journal, not only do we find confirmation but we also find a video clip that will have more than a few “Old Salts” using language guaranteed to make the most worldly-wise “Jack Tar” blush!
What’s next - joy trips around Portsmouth harbour on a frigate? Nighttime minesweeper disco cruises? The mind boggles!

Allowancesgate: Police Commissioner asks “Why haven’t we been called in?”
February 29, 2008 by News Team

It would appear that the BNP’s Michael Barnbrook, your BNP news team and – surprise, surprise – the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Ian Blair, are all of a similar mind in asking “Why were the police not called in over Conway?”
Former senior policeman Michael Barnbrook, of course, did the nation an enormous service by starting this particular ball rolling. Now even the head of the Metropolitan Police is asking why his officers have not been called in by the Parliamentary authorities to investigate the scandal! The failure of the Parliamentary authorities to do so suggests that they have an awful lot more than the Conway scandal to keep from prying eyes!
According to a recent report in the Independent:
“The disgraced Tory MP Derek Conway was under fresh pressure last night after Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, demanded to know why his case has not been referred to the force.
Sir Ian, the country’s most senior police officer, has written to the parliamentary standards watchdog John Lyon to ask why detectives have not been asked to investigate after Mr Conway was suspended from the Commons for employing his son Freddie as a researcher paid for from public funds while he was a full-time student.
In a highly unusual move which will pile fresh pressure on Mr Conway, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman confirmed Sir Ian had written to Mr Lyon and asked for an explanation if the case is not to be referred.”
In our opinion what is clearly needed, in addition to an independent “root and branch” review of MPs allowances and expenses, is an in-depth “root and branch” police investigation into the claiming of public money by parasitic MPs going back to at least 1997.

BNP Budget - Barking and Dagenham Council 2008/9
February 29, 2008 by News Team

Remember when the pundits and politicians alike said it was a disaster in the making when the BNP became the official opposition to the Labour controlled Barking and Dagenham Council?
They were all wrong, weren’t they! For all those new BNP councillors have turned out to be anything ,but a disaster.
Yet things could have been even better. For if the BNP had been in actual control of this council, it’s council-tax payers could be looking forward, not to an increase in their tax demands, but to no increase at all, and quite likely a very real decrease!
And, you may ask, how is this possible?
It’s possible because the BNP has identified up to £10.2 million pounds of savings that could be made within the Barking & Dagenham council budget - and all without harming any of the essential services we all expect a local council to provide, whatever its political colour!
There’s no doubt about it, the BNP really does make a difference!

British National Party Budget
Barking and Dagenham Council 2008/9
Compiled and Presented by
Richard Barnbrook
Leader of the British National Party Barking and Dagenham
Barking and Dagenham Council Budget 2008/9
Foreword
The British National Party is presenting its budget for 2008/9 which includes prospective savings of 10.2 million pounds which will enable a no increase council tax which will benefit both residents and businesses within the Borough. The fundamentals of this budget provide for improved delivery over a range of services by performing functions on an in- house basis using council staff rather than providing profits for agencies and contractors.
Unlike the Labour Council budget there will be no cuts to essential services such as Public Conveniences indeed we will reverse the trend of running down essential services and the public sector. A major part of the savings will come from dismantling the phoney public sector which has been created to serve political correctness.
In this respect we will not be cutting expenditure we will be slashing it.…
Adult and Community Services Revenue Budget (pages 47-66)
Older Persons Services
The BNP anticipate savings of 2 million pounds by operating older person’s services in-house instead of on an agency basis. The BNP believe it is possible to deliver a higher standard of service of meals on wheels from the Council from existing Council catering facilities. That in-house carers for the elderly operate in a more efficient and effective manner. Overall benefits will accrue from regular council employees rather than to agency operatives who may come and go.
Learning Disabilities
Similarly, services covering learning disabilities would be operated more efficiently and effectively by an in-house service than by an agency where quality control must be more difficult to administer and monitor.
Safety and Parks Police
Safety and Parks Police is a service which can be run and delivered by Council staff.
Drugs and Alcohol Services
The BNP is so concerned with the interests of local people we would increase the budget to this service by £200,000 pounds to take a direct action approach to the social problems of alcohol and substance abuse/misuse. At the same time savings of £ 100,000 pounds could be made by eliminating agency expenditure.
Community and Development
The BNP would do away with agency grants. The BNP is committed to supporting local voluntary organisations and groups provided that they comply with terms and conditions to any grants which ensure local taxpayers see a real return for their investment. As an example: where sporting or arts organisations are in receipt of council grants they must be able to prove an adequate level of fundraising themselves and evidence that their product is accessible to all members of the community. This may mean for some of them that they have to arrange visits by elderly residents of the Borough to there facilities thus proving they are part of the community. We believe by taking a more responsible approach to community development, savings of £200,000 pounds may be anticipated and the voluntary sector will be driven to be more effective.
Equalities and Diversities
The BNP anticipate savings of £100,000 in the staffing budget
Children’s Services (pages 67-87)
We will strive to reduce the volume of agency providers and we will reduce the sums available for service provision and make savings of £5.3 million pounds. We will maximise local provision of services by introducing capped and budget driven services and we will review the possibility of off-shoring where there is a consensus that it would benefit the ethnic integrity of the client.
Customer Services (pages 88-114)
We will bring the refuse collection in house giving a net saving of £200,000 pounds.
Frizlands Depot and Passenger Transport
The BNP will merge these two entities because the BNP is committed to the concept of renewable fuel sources and environmentally friendly transport. The BNP will invest £300,000 in eco-friendly vehicles ranging from hybrids to electric mini buses.
Environmental Health and Trading Standards
The BNP is committed to protecting and improving the health of the Borough residents and also waging war on the exploitive practices of people traffickers, gang masters, and abusers of animal welfare. The BNP propose to spend an additional £400,000 pounds on increased staffing of environmental health and trading standards. Officers will focus on the areas of hygiene in particular in areas of TB and halal food, bush meat and counterfeit goods.
Revenue and Benefits
The collection of revenues and the payment of benefits is one of the most important functions of the authority. The BNP note the way the business community has negligible arrears and whilst the vast majority of council taxpayers realise their obligations the small minority that don’t will be severely targeted. The BNP will intensify the level of targeting in the residential area and anticipate this will bring savings of £1.5 millions pounds a 1 percent improvement.
Regeneration (pages 115-117)
Public Conveniences
The BNP is committed to maintaining this most fundamental of government services. Therefore, unlike Labour we will not close all public conveniences. The BNP will spend an additional £150,000 pounds on a high profile staffing, cleaning and a security presence. We will eliminate the £3000 agency costs.
On/Off Street Parking
On/off street parking is not a significant revenue generator for the council nor should it be. However the over exuberant enforcement in certain areas of the Borough is seen as a deterrent to the success of local shops and small businesses. It is the BNPs opinion that an adequate service can be provided by more selective control with fewer traffic wardens. Therefore, we propose savings of £403,000 pounds can be made.
Highways Maintenance
The BNP can see no advantage to the taxpayers of the Borough in making profits for private companies. We propose to bring the service in house and anticipate net savings of £500,000 pounds.
Adult Basics Skills Initiative
An element of this relates to paying for learning for asylum seekers. The BNP don’t see why the council and taxpayers should fund this so the BNP proposes cuts of £50,000 pounds.
Parks and Open Spaces
The BNP believes that parks and open spaces are better managed and safer places when run in the traditional way with full time council employees’ on site. We believe this can replace the existing agency arrangements provide a better and safer service and save the taxpayer £200,000 pounds.
Cemeteries
The BNP wishes to encourage the honouring of our ancesters and in order to make cemetery visits easier we will spend £44,000 as a first step to provide shelters and toilets facilities at cemeteries.
Allotments
The BNP wishes to encourage the production of home-grown food and will provide £20,000 for the provision of storage facilities as step towards mini farmer/barter markets.
Sports Centres
The BNP the chief officers have been unable to give us a precise costing for that element of expenditure known as celebrating diversity. We are not interested in celebrating diversity, just Britishness and in the absences of figures from the officers we anticipate that £5000.000 of political correctness can be slashed and the burden on residents and businesses removed.
Sports Development
The BNP believes that competitive sport is part and parcel of the healthy development of individuals and groups. To this end we make available £100,000 for professional sport coaching from the boroughs leisure centre.
Arboriculture and Nurseries
We will eliminate £50,000 pound of agency expenditure and spend an equivalent sum on extra training, staffing and transport.
Resources (pages 178-196)
Human Resources, a service which was traditionally known as the personnel department, have a budget in the region of £6.5 million pounds. In the BNPs opinion a bogus industry has been created around community priorities, promoting equality opportunities and celebrating diversity BNP believe the roll of the personnel department is simply to ensure the adequate professional staffing of council departments to achieve the necessities of local government. We propose therefore that £3 millions pounds of the £6.5 million be given the chop and the bulk of this will come from employee expenses
Democracy and Partnerships (page 185)
The BNP does not believe it is necessary to spend £5 million pounds of taxpayer’s money to assist members and staff to deliver socialist priorities. Again an industry has been created around so called community engagement and marketing. The BNP believes that a budget for electoral and registration services should cost £2 million pounds less than this. We do not believe the head of service should be the council whistle blowing officer, the BNP takes the view that the finance professionals of the internal audit section are in the best position to do this.
Strategic Finance and Audit (page 190)
The BNP believe that the strategic finance and audit play a key roll in ensuring the proper probity of the council. And it merits are undervalued and the department is understaffed to realise its potential. To this end we will make available £200,000 to strengthen the internal audit function to ensure by a system based approach that the council complies with all statutory duties, the security of its operating systems, and its achievement of value for money and to perform a whistle blowing function.
Capital Programme (pages 197-219)
The BNP believes there is one issue within the Capital Programme that in its importance outweighs all other issues. The BNP is totally opposed to the residential development of the Thames Gateway. The BNP believes that as this land is on the flood plain that it would be in the interests of public safety, the environment, and to allow for unknown factors in the future, that it should be left undeveloped. We do not believe this will be detrimental to the provision of housing in Barking and Dagenham and in London in general. Within the context of the BNPs demographic and law and order strategy, by not developing this land there will be a significant financial saving to the boroughs taxpayers by the elimination of the resulting revenue costs of capital development.
Revenue Development of Housing Portfolio
To indicate the BNPs commitment to ensuring that council housing moves towards meeting the needs of the local population it is proposed to make an initial contribution of £2 million pounds sourced from Revenue as the start of a policy of replenishing the council housing stock from its original base as opportunity permits.

Ex-soldiers living on £25.67 a week
Yet another obscenity inflicted upon those who have loyally served this country. Of course, the self same jobsworth’s, at the behest of our treacherous government, can’t wait to grant every benefit to the Islamic terrorists amongst living amongst us.
This story exposes all too clearly, the true malignancy of the left wing jobsworths who are forcing ex Gurkha’s to live in appalling circumstances. How they must loath these brave men from Nepal who dare to support Britain and its traditional ideals.

Ash Bahadur Gurung with wife Yaumayn and daughter Sarit
HUNDREDS of soldiers and their families who fought for the British Army are living in poverty in Reading and surviving on less than £30 a week.
Ex-Gurkha troops, Nepalese citizens who battled for our country for more than 15 years, are waiting to be told if they can settle in the country they fought for – but in the meantime are not allowed to work, use the NHS or claim benefits.
The estimated population of 600 ex-Gurkha’s and their families in Reading live off handouts from their friends and family, and help from the limited resources of the Royal British Legion.
Now some of the town’s Gurkha’s are taking their fight to the Home Office. Gurkha’s who retired before 1997 have no automatic right to live in the UK.
Instead, officials decide on an individual basis whether the Nepalese-born soldiers can stay in the country.
Former Gurkha Ash Bahadur Gurung, 57, who served in the 6th Queen Elizabeth’s Own Gurkha Rifles for 16 years in India, Hong Kong and the UK, has been waiting for two years to hear from the Home Office whether his application to remain here will be accepted.
It is a procedure the Home Office said should take just 90 days.
Living with his wife Yaumayn and their 12-year-old daughter in a small, rented house in Oxford Road, West Reading, paid for out of the basic salary of his son who is in the British Army, he struggles to make his Gurkha pension of £25.67 last the week.
Speaking partly through an interpreter, Mr Bahadur Gurung said: “At the moment the problem is getting my daughter to school – she goes to Reading Girls School [in Northumberland Avenue] and it costs £2 a day on the bus. It’s a lot of money for us, but we can’t get a bus card for her.”
His wife, aged 46, is not entitled to use the NHS, which means they had to buy her a pair of crutches and wheelchair from the Red Cross after one of her legs was amputated due to cancer.
In April, solicitor Tim Hever of NC Brothers & Co in London Street will fight 10 test cases in the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT) appealing against refusals for Gurkha’s asking to live in the UK.
If they are successful, the Home Office will set down guidelines on who should be allowed to stay.
Mr Hever, representing Mr Bahadur Gurung, said: “Other non-British soldiers who fought for the country would be given the right to remain when they leave the Army after four years. It’s only ex-Gurkha’s that weren’t allowed to stay here, and we would say this is straightforward racism.
“I think it’s because the Army is worried they will have to pay them bigger pensions.
“At the moment a Gurkha rifleman gets £120 a month, because it is based on the cost of living in Nepal. If lots of Gurkha’s live in this country the basis for giving them a very low pension disappears so they will have to pay them the same as British pensions.
“These are people who have done normally 15 years – sometimes longer – but the Home Office is saying because they didn’t serve that long in the UK they shouldn’t be allowed to stay. I don’t see the difference between doing Britain’s bidding abroad is any different from being in this country.”
Bhagwar Chamling Rai of the United British Gurkha Ex-Servicemen’s Association, which opened an office in London Street on Saturday, said: “It’s a long time to wait and people are living in terrible conditions. We don’t want to see our people on the street because we also love this country.”
Lieutenant Colonel John Regan of the Royal British Legion added: “So far we have dealt with 92 cases of Gurkha welfare in Reading, but we aren’t allowed to deal with health care – it’s against our charter.
“Most are in trouble because they come over on a six-month visa and believe their case will be dealt with in that time. We have many who have been here up to 15 months.
“We can only help them for a maximum of three months, so we would like their cases to be dealt with within six months.”
Is Labour’s funding of its pet projects costing British lives?
February 29, 2008 by News Team
Regular visitors to this site will know that Labour is very free with our money - particularly when it comes to spending it on pet causes that few reasonable people would subscribe to. We know, for instance, that Generous Gordon & Co have promised India some £850 million in “aid”. India, of course, has need of “aid” as it has one of the largest armies on the face of the earth to maintain – not to mention a military nuclear programme and, we understand, a fledgling space programme. And let’s not also forget the many palms that need to be “greased” before any part of the “aid” gets to where it is intended.
And then again, we have Generous Gordon & Co. telling us that failed “asylum seekers” suffering from HIV, from parts of the world that do not provide an affordable and effective treatment programme, must not be returned “home”. Instead they must be treated on the NHS, at the taxpayers’ expense, to the tune of around £15,000 to £20,000 per head per annum.
There are, of course, many other examples.
By contrast today we learn that an English woman, 61-years young, was initially refused a routine heart operation by a cash-strapped NHS trust because she is considered “too old”! That was until the story was picked up and publicised by the media – at which point the NHS trust involved “reviewed” her case and found the necessary funding.
The lady, who suffers from an irregular heartbeat and is at increased risk of a stroke, had been told that health chiefs had refused to allow the procedure on cost grounds, which was recommended by her specialist.
Now it would be totally wrong to blame the Yorkshire NHS trust concerned, as clearly had they been properly funded in the first place, then they would not have been placed in a truly dreadful position such as this, of having to rob Peter to pay Paul!
But, we have to ask, how many British people up and down this land of ours have been denied life-saving treatment because NHS trusts simply do not have the wherewithal to fund such routine treatment? And how many of these very same trusts are being forced by government rulings to fund HIV and other expensive courses of treatment for “asylum-seekers” and “health-tourists” at the same time?
Of course, the really sickening aspect of this scandal – for that is exactly what it is - is that those Westminster politicians who make these rules seldom have need to avail themselves of treatment under the NHS, as their public funded private heath insurance enables them to make other arrangements.
Mayoral Chickens?

Ecobuild Futurebuild Exhibition Earl’s Court 26-28/2/08
Thursday the 28th saw an important day at this exhibition for all aspects of the building industry as relating to environmental aspects.
For at 10.45am there was to be a debate on environmental issues affecting London, the debate featuring our old friends “Red” Livingstone, “Mugabe” Johnson and some chap called Mr Paddick, who claims to be the Lib Dem London Mayoral candidate. Unknown to these fellows, Richard Barnbrook, BNP Mayoral candidate was present in the audience.
The debate was in the usual amicable fashion between the establishment figures , with much of their diatribe being seen through by the audience of about 200 people, eg Johnson wants to plant more trees, but that does not address the shoe horn building policy removing the land to plant them on, Livingstone wants to raise an extra £30-£50M from a £25 congestion charge to fund cycle lanes, but where is the space to put the cycle lanes? It was noted by the audience that whilst the Lab-Tory duo could at least talk about specific ideas, even if often unreasonable, the Lib-Dem could only talk in vague general terms about environmental excellence.
Then shock-horror!
The debate chairman, respected journalist and media presenter Mr James Naughtie allowed Richard Barnbrook to ask the panel the following pertinent question “Would the panel accept that climate change in London cannot be viewed in a micro but a global context, and in this respect, due regard to optimum populations should be given for cities and indeed countries, to prevent population over-density making environmental problems worse?”
The educated response from the panel was amazing;
Johnson spluttered that he would not debate any question from the BNP, Livingstone said he would not talk about the question and whoever the Lib-Dem was said something similar in parrot fashion. Notably 10% of the audience gently applauded Johnson’s response , whilst 90% seemed surprised at the arrogance of the 3 wannabees.
Our thanks go to the events director for permitting Richard Barnbrook and Richmond organiser Chris Forster to attend the event (without any subterfuge) and also to the debate Chairman James Naughtie for his very fair and liberal (in the real sense of the word) handling of the debate.
For those who could not be there, read Richard’s question again;
“Is it unreasonable, is it not a straightforward question about environment and economics? Ask yourself why, of all the questions asked of them, this was the only one that the Lib-Lab-Con refused to answer?”

Bobbies will be taught sharia law and the Koran in ’secret’

Policemen are to be taught sharia law in a bid to counter extremism at a local level
It would appear that the limp clergyman, Dr Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, might not have been such a loose cannon after all, when he spoke about accepting parts of Sharia Law.
Could it be that his recent comments were simply part of the preparations by leaders of the Quisling regime of Westminster to pave the way for embracing Sharia Law in a far more fundamental way?
This quote from the Chief Constable in charge of the strategy, West Yorkshire’s Norman Bettison, said: “We work closely with communities and the majority of police training at the moment in this area is done in partnership with Muslim organisations.
If that statement doesn’t scare the pants off of you, then you misread it. Go back and read it again!!
Note also, the quotes from David Davis, Tory MP, don’t they sound very similar, in intent, to what the clueless Archbishop had to say!
Certainly this report on the ’secret’ plans to educate police recruits in the wonders of Sharia and the Koran, is certainly indicative of such an intent.
And like so many other dilutions of our traditional values, this one is also explained away as an attempt to counter extremism!
Work that one out if you can? I confess, the logic is lost on me!
Police will be trained on the importance of the Koran and Sharia law to Muslims under Government plans to tackle extremism.
Lessons in the Islamic faith and culture will become part of the formal training for recruits.
Chief constables said officers will build better relationships by understanding the communities they are policing.
This could prove crucial in rooting out extremism and preventing a terrorist attack, according to the Association of Chief Police Officers.
But critics expressed concern that the plan could foster division, rather than combat it.
It comes after the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, said the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.
He later said his remarks had been misinterpreted.
Shadow Home Secretary David Davis added: “Of course it is sensible for the police to have an understanding of the Koran and Sharia law as long as we do not allow the situation to slip so that Sharia law is regarded on an equal basis with British law.
“British law is and always must be pre-eminent.”
The scheme is part of a wide-ranging strategy to prevent extremist ideas gaining hold in schools, colleges and prisons.
Other initiatives in the 40-page strategy include guidance to parents on how to stop children searching for extremist websites, and intervening where convicted terrorists are suspected of spreading hate in prison.
Police will not have to learn the “depth and complexity” of Sharia law but would be expected to understand Islamic culture.
But critics have described the plan as “politically correct thinking”.
Philip Davies, Conservative MP for Shipley, said: “Police officers are not there to implement sharia law. They are there to implement British law.
“This idea is misguided. We will only get community cohesion when everybody signs up to being British and following British law.”
The so-called Prevent strategy says: “Research last year revealed that the police service would be very low on the list of agencies that the Muslim community would turn to if they had concerns about a member of their community who embraced violent extremism.
“The police service has a long way to go in building a relationship of trust around these issues.”
The Chief Constable in charge of the strategy, West Yorkshire’s Norman Bettison, said: “We work closely with communities and the majority of police training at the moment in this area is done in partnership with Muslim organisations.
“We are building on this basis of training and emphasising that a basic principle of policing is that officers work with and should understand the communities they are policing.
“The Acpo Prevent strategy recognises this in the context of non-Muslim officers working with Muslim communities.
“These issues can be complex and include nationality, community and religious issues, all of which are interwoven.
“That is what we are trying to get across to officers in our training. The depth and complexity of sharia law is not part of this training.
“The strategy remains in draft form at present and I expect it to be formally adopted by chief officer colleagues after further feedback from partners and communities.”
Terrorist suspects must stay in Britain in case they are tortured at home
February 29, 2008 by News Team

Britain could be stuck with more than a dozen international terror suspects after a devastating ruling by the European Court of Human Rights.
Judges said the right of a fanatic to be protected from torture in his homeland was “absolute”.
They rejected arguments that, in trying to deport an extremist to a country with a history of torture, the rights of British citizens to be protected from attack in their homeland should be considered, too.
The court also cast doubt on agreements Britain has been trying to secure with countries in the Middle East to allow the deportation of the likes of hate-preacher Abu Qatada, known as Osama bin Laden’s ambassador in Europe.
The Strasbourg judges said guarantees from countries such as Tunisia and Jordan they would not torture any terror suspect deported by the UK may not be acceptable.
The blow came in a ruling against an attempt by the Italian government to deport a terror suspect to Tunisia.
Britain had “intervened” on the crucial case, in an effort to establish it could deport more than a dozen terror suspects being held in secure jails.
The court described as “misconceived” the UK and Italian arguments that the risk to a terror suspect should be balanced against the risk they poses to innocent civilians.
Judges instead said the terror suspect had an “absolute” right to protection from torture - and this must come first.
It effectively upheld an earlier judgement blamed by ministers for our woeful failure to deport extremists.
They also cast grave doubt over the future of legal assurances given by countries with poor human rights records that they will not torture any suspect who is returned.
These so-called Memorandums of Understanding - including one which allows Qatada to be sent back to Jordan - could now be ripped up when they are challenged in Europe by suspects fighting deportation.
The first case is likely to be that of Qatada, who judges have labelled a “truly dangerous individual”.
He called on British Muslims to martyr themselves in a war on oppression.
A Home Office spokesman said: “We intervened because terrorism undermines fundamental human rights - including the right to life. The Government is disappointed.”
It came as the UK’s most senior counter terrorism officer, Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, stood down yesterday, saying that the struggle against violent extremism is far from over.
Labour knows better than to offend those who “butter its bread”!

Remember how the Labour regime, in cahoots with the CPS and BBC, fell over themselves in their indecent haste to try to railroad the BNP’s Nick Griffin and Mark Collett into prison? Their “crime”, of course, was to criticise some aspects of the “religion of peace” at a private meeting! Today we invite you to compare Labour’s state victimisation of those two men with the treatment afforded one Ibrahim Moussawi, a man who commands a considerable following (hence money and votes) amongst Britain’s huge Islamic community.
We quote from an abridged media report:
The Home Secretary came under fire last night for allowing a radical Lebanese propagandist with links to the extremist group Hezbollah to enter Britain for a national speaking tour.
The Conservatives urged Jacqui Smith to ban Ibrahim Moussawi from the UK, warning that he was “likely to foment extremism or promote violence”.
Mr Moussawi edits Hezbollah’s newspaper and is former political editor of the Iranian-backed group’s television station, which is banned in many countries including France, Spain and the U.S. where its output is seen as anti-Semitic.
He was recently barred from entering Ireland, where he was due to speak at anti-war meetings.
He is scheduled to appear at an event in London tonight organised by the Stop the War Coalition, with more events planned around the country over the coming week.
Shadow Security Minister Baroness Neville-Jones attacked the Government’s record of allowing radical (Muslim? Ed) extremists into the UK, after ministers previously ignored calls to deny Mr Moussawi entry to the UK.
She said: “The Government has the power to deny entry to people whose presence is not conducive to the public good. Yet in the past they have let in extremists to preach hate. Jacqui Smith failed to stop Ibrahim Moussawi from coming last December, despite my specific request that she do so.”
Last night, the Home Office would not comment on Mr Moussawi’s case, although sources confirmed that his visa had been approved for the trip.
The Home Office said last night that the Home Secretary uses powers to exclude foreign nationals whose presence is “not conducive to the public good” when it is justified and “based on all the available evidence”.
Apparently Labour does not conclude that Mr. Moussawi’s is “not conducive to the public good” – or could it be that to ban him would not be “conducive” to their fundraising and electoral support amongst a certain community?
Anything is possible in Labour’s madhouse!

More Labour lunacy! Is the “explanation” given in the article below correct or is this the first step in getting our police to enforce certain aspects of sharia law we wonder? Stranger things have happened under this Labour regime!
“Police will be trained on the importance of sharia law and the Koran to Muslim communities, under new plans to fight extremism.
The lessons in Islamic faith and culture will become part of the formal training of constables working in towns and cities across the country.
Chief constables say that, by understanding the community they are policing, officers will build better relationships.
These could prove crucial in rooting out extremism and preventing a terrorist attack, according to the Association of Chief Police Officers.”

There must be elections pending! Tories get ready to play the Race Card (again)!

Yes – there must be an election pending – as the Tories are playing the Race Card once again! Maggie Thatcher did it. Michael Howard did it. And now, it appears, Dave “Hug a Hoodie” Cameron is about to do it! Yet despite decades of support for the very immigration that is wrecking Britain and bringing public services to the brink of collapse, Tory hypocrites have suddenly decided that we need to curb immigration a little (well, at least until May’s local elections are out of the way)!
According to a Guardian report:
David Cameron has today unveiled a £500,000 advertising campaign, with pledges on immigration in the Daily Mail, on crime in the Sun and education in the Guardian.
In a move that echoes the kind of tactics deployed in the United States, the Conservative leader has also placed ads on economic competence in the Times, green issues in the Independent and jobs in the Daily Express.
There are 10 adverts in total, which will feature in local and national press and on billboards.
The full-page advert in the Daily Mail, titled: “Reduce the Pressure”, contains the line: “Proper controls on immigration so our public services can cope.”
It adds: “Properly controlled immigration is one of the changes you can get with a new Conservative government. But we need your help. We want to end the culture of political parties being dependent on big donors like trade unions and businesses. Instead, we want to encourage lots of small donations from individuals.”

Wroughton Hammer Attack: Imam’s son and six others found guilty

In a surprise development the presiding judge in the first of the two “Hammer Attack” trials before Bristol Crown Court has overturned her own reporting restrictions order. Consequently we can now confirm what most of Wroughton and Swindon already know, from the Internet, that all seven accused were found guilty on February 14th. We can also confirm that amongst those found guilty is the son of a local Imam, this confirming a fact that the BNP – and only the BNP – made public a full year ago! The BBC has declined to mentioned this “uncomfortable” fact!
They will be sentenced at a later date.
To quote one media source:
“SEVEN teenagers have been convicted of attacking schoolboy Henry Webster with a claw hammer, it can be revealed today.
Henry, 17, from Wroughton, was attacked at Ridgeway School in January last year. Four teenagers - Wasif Khan, 18, Amjad Qazi, 19, and two boys, 15 and 16, who cannot be named - were found guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm by a jury on February 14.
Nazrul Amin, 19, and two other youngsters aged 15 and 16 admitted the same charge before proceedings began at Bristol Crown Court.”
The story may be read in full: here .
In a further development, Liz Webster, the young victim’s mother, has launched a scathing attack on Wroughton School, accusing them of making no “efforts to assist” her family after the “wholly avoidable” assault on her son.
This story may be read: here .
We can also confirm that the second trial, of a further nine men and youths - all believed to be Muslims, has commenced before Bristol Crown Court.
Furthermore Wiltshire County BNP should be congratulated. Had it not been for the local BNP threatening a “massive and prolonged” campaign in the Wroughton and Swindon areas last year over the attack and, at the time, perceived police apathy, then it is thought unlikely that the police would have launched “Operation Dakota” - that has so far resulted in seven convictions - with a further nine yet to be decided upon!
British National Party - standing up for our people!
Footnote - this evening’s news:
Sky - NO coverage of verdict!
HTV - Regional news only, implied attack was provoked! That the attack wasn’t racist! Had an interview with Liz Webster, Henry’s mother and (of course) a local imam!

Refugee paedophile gang rack up £25,000 legal aid bill

According to a report in the Daily Mail today, a judge has spoken out over the £25,000 legal bill racked up by a members of a paedophile gang who asked for five different interpreters - all to translate the same language.
Judge Martin Joy said the five men, all refugees from Sudan, had cost British taxpayers a total of £125,000 for the interpreters and individual barristers, all supplied by legal aid.
The judge spoke out after a jury at Maidstone Crown Court found one of the men guilty of rape and all five guilty of sexual activity with a child.
They had attacked two schoolgirls aged 13 in Dartford and Gravesend, Kent last summer.
Judge Joy told them: “It is quite plain you have exploited the most civilised aspect of this country throughout this trial, despite the fact that some of you have been in this country for several years.
“The bill for interpretation alone is a minimum of £25,000. Add to that are some eight pre-trial court management hearings and, no doubt, conferences at the prisons.
“It seems to me you have exploited the hospitality this country has to offer.”
The judge added: “You came to this country to seek political asylum. No doubt you came to this country because you regarded it as a safe country.
“However, because of your conduct, this country becomes less safe.”
Juma Saleh, 19, Mohamud Jimale, 20, Dawt Kefle, 18, and Mahder Zeregergis, 19, were convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child.
Adil Aboulkadir, 33, was found guilty rape and three counts of sexual activity with a child.
The gang now await sentencing and could face deportation once they are released from prison, though Judge Joy said it would be difficult to find a country that would welcome them.
Editors note: It would seem only soft touch Britain was gullible enough to welcome them in the first place!
BNP Policies
IMMIGRATION - time to say ENOUGH!
On current demographic trends, we, the native British people, will be an ethnic minority in our own country within sixty years. To ensure that this does not happen, and that the British people retain their homeland and identity, we call for an immediate halt to all further immigration, the immediate deportation of criminal and illegal immigrants, and the introduction of a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by a generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question. We will abolish the ‘positive discrimination’ schemes that have made white Britons second-class citizens. We will also clamp down on the flood of ‘asylum seekers’, all of whom are either bogus or can find refuge much nearer their home countries.
EUROPE - back to British independence!
We are opposed to the Single European Currency, and support the overwhelming majority of the British people in their desire to keep the Pound and our traditional weights and measures. At the same time, we are for the best possible relationship with our European neighbours and believe that the nations of Europe should be free to trade and cooperate whenever it is mutually beneficial, though without being forced into a political and economic straitjacket - political unification. Accordingly, we stand for British withdrawal from the European Union. In place of the EU, we intend to aim towards greater national self-sufficiency, and to work to restore Britain’s family and trading ties with Australia, Canada and New Zealand, and to trade with the rest of the world as it suits us. Following our withdrawal from the EU, the BNP will use the £43 million per day net contribution Britain at present makes to the European Union to fund many far more useful projects at home.
LAW AND ORDER - crack down on crime!
The BNP will crack down on crime and restore public safety and confidence. We will free the police and courts from the politically correct straitjacket that is stopping them from doing their job properly. The liberal fixation with the ‘rights’ of criminals must be replaced by concern for the rights of victims, and the right of innocent people not to become victims. We support the re-introduction of corporal punishment for petty criminals and vandals, and the restoration of capital punishment for paedophiles, terrorists and murderers as an option for judges in cases where their guilt is proven beyond dispute, as by DNA evidence or being caught red-handed.
